Great book for railroad lantern collectors,
By Lightfoot (United States of America) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Illustrated Encyclopedia of Railroad Lighting: The Railroad Lantern (Hardcover)
This is a great book and is exactly what it's titled, an encyclopedia of railroad lighting, specifically the railroad hand lantern. Volume 2 covers railroad lamps. It's a good reference for looking up railroad lanterns. Bare bones information on each lantern model number, the options that were offered with it, etc. Kind of sparce on information if you're looking for dates of manufacture. Good general information on the companies involved. I think it's kind of pricey, but it's my most used and generally my only book used when researching lanterns.
