Great Book. If you are looking to see "real" hairstyles on "real" folks this is the book for you. There are great photo's and descriptions. If you are involved in a re-enactment society this book is very helpful as to how folks wore their hair during each period and even afew "how to's".

As a costume designer, I am often also responsible for designing the actors hair and make-up. This book is a wonderful resource for historical hairstyles for both women, men and children. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in historical fashion.

This book is great for someone having to do period costumes for theatre, etc. The actual photos are neat to look at and give you an actual feel on the time period. Being a theatre costume designer, this book was a valuable resource.
