The Illustrated Owl is an outstanding reference book in all aspects. The plates are clear and accurate; this isa book that any wood carver should have in their library as well as wildlife artists and naturalists. I am not aware of any other owl book that has the wealth of information that is presented in The Illustrated Owl. I highly recommend this book for all public and private libraries.
