This was a very smart buy. In addition to the basic bible, there are study question for various age groups. The book even has suggestions for how to develop quiet time for children. The book is easy for readers from the second or third grade to preteens. The book is beautifully illustrated.Illustrated Study Bible for Kids: Holman Christian Standard Bible

This Bible is great for our Children's Church usage. The kids love reading from it and really want to participate now. We had to many versions the kids were reading from and it wasn't working as it was hard for them to follow. Since having these Bibles they all want to read now and are excited about it. We love them and so do they. We highly recommend them. We would also recommend them to be used in the home. The pictures are very colorful, attractive, and help the children also. Thank you for carrying these so we could order them.

I've had a hard time finding a GOOD children's bible for my 5 yr. old reader. They usually have too many illustrations with no chapters or not enough supportive illustrations or helps. This Bible has it all. My adult Bible doesn't have as many topical helps and keys for study. This is a must have for any child who reads, has an understanding of the Bible and wants to learn more about their life's journey.

After reviewing the "Illustrated Study Bible for Kids" that belonged to one of the children at Westview Baptist, our Children's Ministry Team enthusiastically chose it as this year's presentation Bible. We gave a copy to each child entering our Grades 2 & 3 Sunday School class as we started our fall schedule. The kids love their Bibles! And, we are hearing from parents who tell us their children are studying God's Word without any encouragement from Mom or Dad. They WANT to use their Bibles! It is scripture presented VERY WELL! The Holman people are to be commended!

I use this Bible in my Sunday School class. We have enough for all the children so looking up scriptures is fast and easy. It is very easy to read and the hard backs makes it very durable.

Our granddaghter (age 12) requested this Bible. She is enjoying using it. It arrived quickly and in great shape. Thank you!

This is a good product. There are great color maps and pictures and charts. Adults new to Bible study would benefit from the easy to use style.

I purchased this study bible for my seven year old son. We attend an Assembly of God, Church and one of the things I love about this church is that its multi-cultural, which I love. We should fellowship with people of all culturals and races. I am African American and I thought by the cover of this bible it would have illustrations of people of all colors. As a child I frequently read the bible, but did not receive the full biblical experience because there was never any people of color, so I truly could not envision my family as being part of the biblical days. I want my son to have the full experience and I think if HCSB included people of all hues he can see his ancestors, ultimately himself descending from biblical times. Based the reviews for this bible I expected more illustrations, since there were not many I decided this was not a major factor. Also, I though the font could have been a little larger for easy reading, but I like the size of this bible so if I had to choose between a larger font over a larger size bible this font will do. I like this book because the bible times is not presented as a bible story, its developed like an adult bible, which serves as a perfect transition for children (also, Jesus words are headlighted in red). Overall this is a pretty good study bible.
