5.0 out of 5 stars Classic myths, tales, and legends from across Latin America, February 13, 2005
This review is from: An Illustrated Treasury of Latino Read-Aloud Stories: 40 of the Best-Loved Stories for Parents and Children to Share (Read Aloud Library) (Hardcover)
If it's a bilingual Spanish-English collection of Latino-based stories you seek for your child, look no further than this outstanding collection of read-alouds edited by Maite Suarez-Rivas. Here are the classic myths, tales, and legends from across Latin America, with each tale readable in 10 minutes or less, and accompanied by full-page color drawings throughout. An excellent parent-child storybook treasury.

I purchased this book to supplement Spanish lessons, and it has been very helpful in this capacity. Stories are written first in English, then repeated in Spanish. Nice little lessons on history and culture too. Informative and fun.

As a 2 generation Latina it's important to me to expose our children to childhood nuances of nursery rhythms and stories that represent us. I bought this for my nephews and niece for 3 Kings Day, both parents and children were equally as please.
