Great disc for lovers of pop/jazz vocals, February 3, 2001

Shades of Torme, Hartman, Etta Jones, and so on. The guy has a huge range and uses his instrument well, selects material slightly off the beaten path, and you'll be impressed with the backing by a crack group of Canadian jazzers. Recorded with top notch production values at the studios of CBC radio in Montreal. If you can take a chance on a relatively unknown artist, I'd say go for it with this one.
