5.0 out of 5 stars Don't listen to critics, this CD is awesome.
They soar on power ballads "Not a Day Goes By" and "I'm Already There". "Without You" is the surprise of the CD not the disappointment. This song will have AOR fans blushing. "I want to be the One" and "Unusually Unusual" are super catchy and addictive. This CD has something for all fans of music: Soaring vocals, upbeat...

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent but nothing new
I think I was addicted to Lonestar's last album, Lonely Grill, so I had huge expectations for their latest effort. The first time I listened to this CD I was really disappointed--the first track is catchy and the second is OK, but the next few are just blah, not musically interesting and not particularly well written. It all sounded somewhat familiar--every time a song...

This could be album of the year at the awards show.

If you were a fan of Lonestar because of their Lonely Grill album, then do not buy this CD. Lonely Grill was much more "country" than this one. Except for "I'm already there", this CD is not typical Lonestar. I must say, I was a little dissapointed at first, however the more I listened to this CD, the more it grew on me. It's an interesting new sound you cant dismiss, but I hope they come back to their original sound on the next CD. I would buy this CD if you're a big fan, however those who like their past songs better stick with the old CD, they wont find it here.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great CD for Lonestar, August 17, 2001

This review is from: I'm Already There (Audio CD)
Lonestar's new "I'm Already There" album is a great follow-up to "Lonely Grill." I love it!! "Not a Day Goes By" and "I'm Already There" are Lonestar's bids for another hit like "Amazed." "I'm Already There" is my favorite song of the album. It tells a great story, and Richie McDonald's voice is wonderful in it (as it is in every song.) The album also has plenty of good upbeat songs, such as "Out Go the Lights" and "Unusually Unusual." "Unusually Unusual" is a fun song, and I like its message, too. Overall, a great new CD from Lonestar!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Out go the lights...but this CD is sure to stay on, June 26, 2001

I just picked up "I'm Already There", popped it in the CD player, and I guarantee it's not coming out any time soon. I was hooked on the title track the first time I heard it, but every song on this album, top to bottom, is great. Very rarely do you find a CD where every song is worth listening to...but I guarantee you won't be playing with the skip button too often.

"Unusually Unusual" is a terrific cut for this group of guys known more for their ballads than their up-beat tunes. The song is cute, catchy, and a guaranteed radio hit if it's ever released. "With Me" is in the same boat.

Did I say ballads? "Not A Day Goes By" is one of the highlights of this CD.

Go out and buy "I'm Already There". You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazed, August 17, 2001

Who would believe that Lonestar could capture the magic of Amazed so soon! Amazing! I was listening to the radio and the meaning of the words in I'm Already There totally captured my attention! What a powerful song! Richie McDonald wrote this from his experience and personal experience is always the best in that it gives such strength and emotion to a song when it is really felt in the heart.

Just a note...when our songs start reflecting where science is leading us a wonderful thing happens. The fact that this song is understood and appreciated by so many really shows that we are collectively understanding that our lifes essence includes much more than meets the eye and swirls around us in a world we sometimes cannot see...what in the world am I talking about? Try reading "The Living Energy Universe" by Gary Schwartz and Linda Russek and it will explain that energy and information is alive and surrounds us and everything in the universe and that we are so connected that there is never a time when we are alone for we are a part of everything there is according to Gods plan for all creation. Pretty heady stuff but it seems everything is interconnected and everyone will "get this" ......

Lonestar has become one of my the favorite country groups. Just like with Amazed and now I'm Already There, these guys really know how to reach you in the heart with the great words that they write. Even though I don't have children, I just see this little boy asking for his dad to be home as I listen to "I'm Already There" everyday on the radio. I really feel it in the heart and soul listen to this song.

5.0 out of 5 stars They just keep getting better and better, July 17, 2001
This review is from: I'm Already There (Audio CD)
With the release of this album you wonder can Lonestar get any better. Well to answer the truth yes they can and they do. This album is typical of what you would come to expect from a band with 7 total number one hits and four straight from there last album. With I'm already there shooting up the charts to number one in about 11 weeks has to tell you something about Lonestar and I'm already there. As an album this is as good as it gets in my opinion. From the beginning when you put the CD in your Player and Out Go the Lights starts playing you know your going to be hooked. I feel that Unusually Unusual is going to be another great number one and Not a Day Goes By and I want to be the one could be great radio releases and will solidify another radio ballad for these swooning country balladeers. The song With Me I feel is a reminiscent country dance club 2 step that will be another proven number one on radio also. Must be Love sounds very much like another great line dance song, in addition to Every Little Thing She Does is another great country line dance song, as for the closing song Like a good Cowboy is a thrilling and fun romp that any fan will love. To say, this album does it all, it's infectuous and a really thrilling beam of country music that any fan of Lonely Grill should bye, and if you want to know I think this album is so much creatively better then Lonely Grill, and gives me the fill of what I've come to expect from Lonestar and to know that each album is better than the last one. In closing, Amazed 8 week number one run, I feel could be in Jepordy with the current single I'm already there, and to tell you Lonestar is the band that could break that record.

This album contains simply the best songs of the year. Amazed to hear how they can top their latest CD. I'm already there is really a single to be proud of.

Richie's vocals have never been better and the band is outstanding.

Ever since Tequilla Talking we have been big fans of Lonestar and we hope they will com to Europe some day.

For now it is clear they have surprised us again. "I'M ALREADY THERE" deserves to be BIGGER than Amazed. It's a miracle this song... I keep on singing it..

Thanks guys... YOU ARE THE BEST !!!!!!! 10/10

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Star for the Boys, July 10, 2001
By
Still Amazed! (Stonewall, Texas United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: I'm Already There (Audio CD)
This CD is not a disappointment in any way. As with all groups after a stellar album, Lone Star has the need to really WOW fans or have them say they have slipped. While there are some songs that are different, that doesn't make them bad or mean that the group is going in different directions. Maybe they now have the leeway to be more of who they really are as musicians and artists and are not afraid to break out of the mold. There are some fun songs, I expect a few of those on every Lone Star CD, the uptempo and, of course, the ballads carried off in classic Lone Star fashion. I was thrilled and I look for them to continue the string of number ones. This is a very strong CD. If you have the chance see in them on stage, it is well worth the ticket price. They can carry it off live as well as in a studio. That is more than you can say for a number of the kings and queens of country! If you liked "Lonely Grill", "I'm Already There" is for you.
