Great retrospective on a great band,

I also came across this book by accident, and even ordered it by accident (I don't order books for myself for about two months before Christmas, but somehow this got pulled off my "wish list" and wound up in a shipment with a book I ordered for work), but I'm glad I did. One of my main musical regrets is I never got to see WZ live, and reading Sean's book helps make up for that a little bit. It's basically a scrap book of posters, photos, notes, ticket stubs, and other stuff she collected over the life of the group with her running commentary. Its one shortcoming as a book reflects well on its author: unlike Keith Richards' "Life," Sean doesn't speak ill of bandmates (for the one exception I found, when she says in passing that one "short lived member" had a drug problem, she pointedly doesn't give a name, although fans know whom she means). Overall, the book is kind of like a more underground, casual version of Bill Wyman's book "Rolling with the Stones."
It's also a great coffee-table book that also functions as a litmus test, instantly revealing which of your houseguests suck and which are worthy. For that function alone, it is worth the price of admission.

I absolutely LOVE White Zombie. Being a fan, I was very disappointed with the Let Sleeping Corpses Lie box set. I had came across I'm In The Band on complete accident while shopping for Christmas. I immediately knew this has to be something amazing. Sean has a ton of photos, stories, flyers, set lists, and even diary pages. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is interested in White Zombie history. If your an old school or a 'new' fan this is a great way to enjoy the personal aspect of the band!

Everything Sean Yseult put's her mind to she seems to do not just well, but perfectly! Not only did her years at Parson's serve her well, but laid the pavement for her to walk forward onto any creative ground she choses. White Zombie showed Sean the kickass bass player!!! She has gone on to create beautiful silk scarf designs (which Barney's picked up! ) they are beautiful and whimsical. Her collaborative art works with Louis Saint Louis show her early training as an artist. Now she has created a book, journal, photo collage, and memoir that pieces together all that is wonderful and massively talented about Sean Yseult! How many people in bands from the eighties do we know who kept concise and legible journals? She has put together an incredible array of images, thoughts and journal entries. She takes us down a journey of what it must have been like to have been a part of a band that was definitely one of the early innovators of it's genre at the time. If you want to feel what it must have been like to ride the roller coaster of fun, craziness, emotional and out there experiences that were Sean's in the White Zombie years then go buy this book! It won't disappoint ~~~~

growing up a metal-head in the 90s in NYC White Zombie was hands down my favorite band. i ordered this book simply because i figured it would bring back some memories. Sean was the first girl i proposed to. ok i was 15 and crowd surfing at the Roseland Ballroom... but she did smile.
This is a Beautiful book. I'm blown away with the presentation and quality. not only is it filled with great pictures from the beginning of WZ all the way to the break up and after, but it is also a very interesting read for any fan. there are also great pictures and stories about touring (seeing Dime in the pictures is very bittersweet. R.I.P.)the only complaint i could possibly make is that Sean is so nice that you don't get a lot of dirty details about the break up and aftermath of. this book is a must have for anyone that liked metal in the 90's. i plan on getting this as a gift for a lot of my friends.

I remember being a teenager and going to see Pantera and White Zombie. It was one of the best shows of my life. So when I found out she was writing a book I had to get it. I still listen to White Zombie but I dont care for Rob's "solo" output. Im not hoping for a reunion or anything. But I got to relive some of my teenage years with this book. It was a real eye opener to a band that usually didnt tell anything about their lives outside of the band. I suggest if you are a fan of white zombie then you should get this book. It has a lot of awesome infor and a ton of awesome pictures and stuff.

This book is GREAT for any White Zombie fan, and gives a great look into the behind the scenes. Lots of great pictures with Sean's comments about them. Tons of great art/photos/ticket stubs/flyers. This book is just AWESOME!!! I especially love reading about the times with Pantera, Dimebag in particular. More proof that he was "The F'ing Man"! Really worth the money. And I found out about other projects of Sean. KILLER! She is the coolest woman in metal ... EVER!!! Cheers!

This is a fantastic read filled with great pictures of Seans rock and roll journey with one of the 90's best hard rock bands White Zombie and the truth is, it all started in the mid eighties. Inserts from key people involved at the time and tons of art ideas, backstage pictures, band flyers, posters and information I never knew until now. If you've ever wanted to know a little about Sean while she was in the band this is the book. If you wanted to hear some band tales about White Zombie this is the book. If your an upcoming rockstar hopeful, this book might shine on a few things you don't realize about the big record companies. White Zombies cash advance was only $5000 and somehow the band managed to live on that moving from New York to LA and renting an apartment and all of this before their release which was almost a year later! Your rock and roll library is not complete without this book. Share it with your friends and leave it out on your coffee table!

Well sadly since Rob isn't on "friend" terms with his x- band mates when the box set(Let Sleeping Corpses Lie) was released it lacked a lot . All the music , but not a lot of input from the other members . Well for all of you Zombie fans out there this is a must have . It is full of great pics and info from Sean . I got this for X-mas and have been through all of it twice now .
