I got this book for my mother, along with the other one recommended by Amazon to buy together, and it's very funny. I was looking for something that would give her a lift and it definitely did; she enjoys them quite a bit.

If you grew up in the 50's this book will seem like it was written for you! Even if you are not a Boomer, you will see the wry humor. It is a book to share with a friend and a book to keep for yourself when you need to laugh. Ann Taintor is great!

This book is one of the best I've bought. The vintage pictures are wonderful and the humor is wonderful with just a hint of sassy. I will definitely be on the look out for more books or item by this author. I knew that the humor from this author would not be run of the mill, you have to be a little saucy to enjoy it. This would make a great gift for that smart-aleck friend or for yourself.

I am a big fan of old photos with funny captions being used as greeting cards. That is the quality I thought I would be getting with this book. But no. I looked through it and tossed it in the trash. I could have done something better with my money than this.
