A Blues man who was also a great but underappreciated Soul singer.,

Yes, the late great Z.Z. Hill was a master Blues singer but he was also (like Johnnie Taylor, Eddie Floyd, Albert King and Latimore) a powerful, emotive and commanding Soul singer who could easily blur the lines between traditional Blues and Southern Soul. Like his other Malaco releases, this is a very enjoyable Southern Soul and deep Blues set produced by Malaco founders Tommy Couch, Sr. and Wolf Stephenson.

Z.Z. Hill is my favorite blues singer and he did his usual great job on this album. It was a shame that he died so young. The world lost out on a lot of truly great music.
