Excerpts from the Introduction
...Routine.
Like my infesting insects, I wonder how many "Christians" are faithfully following the routine of Christianity. I wonder how many of us who consider ourselves "Christians" are going through the motions of church tradition just to spiritually survive. I wonder how many "Christians" are out there whose lives are merely loyal and organized to a lifestyle thats going to and from their respective churches just to say to God, "My attendance was perfect this month."
Youll be surprised just how alarmingly high the statistics are.
In fact, you just might possibly fall into this category.
...
This book was written as a result of my boredom with Christianity. In fact, it was written as a result of me being fed up with my religious routine. I wrote this book with the intensions and hopes of encouraging other bored "Christians" to get out of their churches and into the arms of the human soul, into the very places that God is trying to redeem. I wrote this book with the intensions and hopes of encouraging a lifestyle of experiencing the heart of God and not just some routine religion. And on other levels, this book was written with those who have closed their hearts off to God, because of "religion", in mind, in hopes to encourage the beginning of a journey to fulfillment, not just through Christianity, rather through Jesus Christ.
I hope this book inspires, encourages and, in some cases, offends you. Because in those very moments of truth, we are, more than likely, going to be moved to action. When God spoke truth to the nations through one of His prophets, the truth cut deep into their souls. The nations were moved to action as a result of Gods bluntness. They were moved from routine to repentance. In other words, the nations were moved toward a deeper relationship with the Father. When God questioned my faithfulness to Him, I was offended, but, eventually, I was encouraged and moved straight into the arms of completeness.
I was moved out of boredom.
