Another Blues Stringer Called Home!, May 12, 2003

Ace Moreland is a southern rock bluesman and was one of King Snake records finest artists. Moreland could play his Stratocaster with the best of them and his vocals had that certain smoky and gritty quality to them that made you certain you were listening to someone in his 60's rather than a mid to late 30 year old. Sadly, Moreland was called away this year, barely 50, and just starting to peak. He was a victim of lung cancer. Like many bluesmen that have passed before him, Moreland's music will be missed. While this early recording is not Moreland?s finest, it is a good one nonetheless mixing a little country flavor with the blues.
