From the Back Cover
I'm Not Dead, I'm Different is a revelation--offering enlightenment, guidance, and answers to the questions about living, dying, and life after death that many people have been afraid to ask. Through the strong, compassionate voices of those who have departed our world comes a new understanding of forgiveness, and with it insights into the issues surrounding abortion, murder, suicide, and accidental death. Speaking with a wisdom that surpasses their years on earth, young spirits provide comfort and inspiration to anyone willing to listen. What they have to say about living after death can be life-changing for all of us.
More About the Author
Hollister is clairvoyant, clairaudient and clairsentient (meaning that she can see, hear and feel the presence of spirits as well as get a sense of their personalities, emotions, physical attributes and illnesses).
"Life is never over," says Hollister Rand. "Those we love are still as interested in our lives as they were when they were here. Damaged relationships can be healed by talking with the spirits; broken hearts can be mended; questions answered. It is never too late to say 'I love you' or 'I'm sorry.' It is never too late to give or receive forgiveness. These opportunities do not end with what we call death."
With her personal charm, sense of humor, and compassion, Hollister makes it seem as though communicating with spirits is an everyday thing. And for her, it is. Even as a very young girl, Hollister started seeing and speaking with spirits. In her grade school years, spirits filled the stairway leading to her bedroom door and surrounded her bed each night. Not always welcomed, these presences made for many restless nights. Through the years, however, Hollister learned to "turn on and turn off" her spirit receptors, and get a good night's sleep.
During the last 15 years, Hollister has moved national and international audiences with messages of love, hope and healing through demonstrations of spirit communication and television and radio appearances. Her messages on KOST FM's, "Angels in Waiting" and KBIG FM's "Radio Medium" have touched the lives of thousands of people. Extending her vision to an online audience, she has teamed up with internationally acclaimed medium John Edward for InfiniteQuest, a "one-stop" portal of resources for the soul. (www.infinitequest.com)
Her interest in supporting the science of spirit communication led Hollister to present seminars and workshops with leading researchers in afterlife science.
Articles about Hollister's work have appeared online in a number of outlets including United Press International, Religion and Spirituality.com, Arcamax, SpiritsNewsletter.org and the Press-Enterprise Newspaper of Southern California, among others. Hollister's monthly email newsletter, MESSAGES ~ Love, Hope and Healing in Spirit, is filled with "how to" articles, inspirational stories, and explores how we all can connect with loved ones in spirit.
Hollister's first book, I'm Not Dead, I'm Different: Kids in Spirit Teach Us About Living a Better Life on Earth, is being released by HarperCollins Publishers on April 19, 2011.
