5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT SINGLE!
I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman is a great song. Here you have the album version along with two remixes and a new song, I Run Away. I Run Away is a slow song, but good. When I bought the single I thought the enhanced portion would include the video for I'm Not A Girl..., but instead it contains the video for Overprotected and the trailer for Britney's first movie,...

5.0 out of 5 stars OK OK I like a Britney Song!!!, March 23, 2002

When I first heard that Britney was coming out with a new song I was like..."Oh no not another Slave or Baby One More Time song!" But after I gave it a listen I was amazed on how much talent Britney actually posesses! This song was written by the musical genius Dido ("Thank You", "clip from the Eminem song Stan"...) and covers well rounded what any teenage girl like Britney feels. Though I am a guy I really do like this song. It's slow and beautiful and she sings in her range this time...providing us with a Wonderful number. I saw the video on Total Request Live and it was awsome as well. A must listen to any Britney or neo-Britney fan like me :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Songs!, March 15, 2002
By
While I lost interest in Britney for a while, I have to admit this song is very impressive. Written by British pop genius Dido, "I'm Not A Girl" expresses finding yourself and searching for what you really believe. A crisis faces by most as we head towards twenty, the song deals with it softly, seriously and with impressive vocals! (For Britney, anyway)

This single includes the "Spanish Fly" mix, it's got a great beat and makes "I'm Not A Girl" very easy to dance to! Also is a song unreleased in the US, unlike the beautiful ballad "Heart" (which was on the import of several singles from "Ooops!...") this one lacks in emotion. There's also a video for Overprotected and a (not-so-subliminal) trailer for "Crossroads."

Get this single, even if you hate Britney Spears. It's good music!

5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite Britney Spears Song!, October 11, 2003
By
This review is from: I'm Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman (Audio CD)
Hi viewers,

This is my favorite Britney Spears song. I really like her music and when I heard this it took my heart. The vocals are really good and I love the piano in the background. If you hear this in the movie it has a really big impact. I believe that everyone should listen to this song if they are a Britney fan and even if they are not. Its a really emotional song to me and I hope that other people like it. And I am a guy and I like this so everyone can, not just the girls lol. So what are you waiting for? Listen to some samples hehe. Bye! and thx for viewing this message!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman - Britney gets all grown-up!, February 1, 2003

This review is from: I'm Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman (Audio CD)
After the success of her previous two singles - I'm A Slave 4 U and Overprotected - Britney Spears returned with I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, the third single to be taken from her third album, titled Britney. The song became a huge hit and peaked at No.2 in the UK - Britney's biggest single in the UK since Oops!...I Did It Again almost two year previously. There was a lot of hype surrounding Britney at this time of her career. She had just split with her boyfriend Justin Timberlake in what has to be one of the most high profile break-ups in the history of showbusiness. Her film debut, Crossroads was also released three days before this song came out. Britney was all over magazine and newspaper covers after she "snubbed" fans at the London premiere of Crossroads. She was even on the national news - all it was around those weeks was Britney, Britney, Britney! All this hype and the huge success of the film resutled in I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman becoming a huge hit - not only in the UK, but all over Europe. Teenage girls seemed to react to the song in a very personal way. I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman was written by Max Martin and Rami, with a little help from Dido. The result was undoubtedly Britney's all-time best ballad. The song is simple in the way Britney's voice is very natural and clear - unlike her voice on songs such as Stronger and I'm A Slave 4 U. The main instrument that accompanies the song is the piano - simple yet highly effective. "I used to think I had the answers to everything," sings Britney. This song only strengthed the point Britney was trying to get across; that she's now growing up and can't be something she's not to her fans.

Track 2 on this CD single is the Spanish Fly Remix (Radio Edit) of I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman. Overall, this is a sueprb remix and definitely one of Britney's best. This remix is shorter than the actual song, which is unusual for a remix. The remix has a very summery feel to it and really relaxes you. Track 3 is I Run Away. This is another mid-tempo pop ballad that was said to have been not good enough for the Britney album...how can they say this?! This song is absolutely amazing and so emotional. The song has a hint of Before The Goodbye to it which makes it very futuristic - I love it. Overall, this is another essential Britney CD single for all you die-hard fans out there. Buy it now from Amazon.com!

Personaly i believe that not a girl is the best ballad of britney ever, her vocals are really amazing, i just love her, and the bonust track call run away is good, i don't now why she didn't put it in her album, so if you are a britney fan go and buy it.

This is a great CD Single. I especially love the artwork on the front. Good song, good bonus features. If only it was released commerically, it would have had so much more success.

4.0 out of 5 stars Britney's not a girl, but not yet a woman, August 20, 2002
By
At first I have to say, that this cd is one of the best cd's Britney has released so far and it is a must-have for any fan of her.
Here's my track-by-track review of the cd:

1. I'm not a girl, not yet a woman (album version) - A fantastic song, that every teenager can relate to..

2. I'm not a girl not yet a woman (Spanish fly Remix) - A very funky and good remix of the original song.. thumbs up!

3. I'm not a girl, not yet a woman (Chocolate puma dub) - This remix is a bit more... boring, but it's okay.

4. I run away - This is a very rare song, and it's absolutely amazing - it's kind of like "From the bottom of my broken heart" but though it's different. I think it's more soulful.

It is also enhanced with the "Overprotected" video and the "Crossroads movie trailer". Lovely.

And at last, there's a little book in the cd, where you can find a lot of pics from Britney's first movie, Crossroads.

As you can see, this cd contains a lot of interesting stuff, and as I said, it is a must-have for Britneyfans or just a good fan of popmusic.

Hope you feel you know more about this cd now you've read this review.

Wow! This is really a good CD single. It not only has great music but it also has other great features. All the tracks are good and I really like "I run away". It's a great ballad and it's a good song. Plus with the bonus Crossroads Trailer and Overprotected video (UK version) the single is a must have, especially if your a Brit fan. The single even comes with a little booklet promoting the movie Crossroads. Overall, it's a good single.

Britney Spears has sung a handful of ballads even wrote and composed some too. Although I like other Britney Spears ballads better, the cd and the song it still stands out to me.

1.) I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman [5/5] A nice little ballad that was greatly written and composed. I liked Britney's voice here.

2.) I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman (Spanish Fly Remix Radio Edit) [5/5] Has a disco-jumpy feel to it, which is great because it catches on to your ear easily.

3.) I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman (Chocolate Puma Dub) [3/5] Long and does not contain the "lyrics" as much. The whole remix is okay. Not that catchy, and a little bland. I don't hate it though.

4.) I Run Away [5/5] A song so good, it might even be better than I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman, its title track! This song was unreleased on the USA version of her 3rd album, "Britney." This song deserves it's on single cd! The song is well produced and catchy. Her voice sounds beautiful here, even sounds live.

------ENHANCED CD SECTION--------

5.) Overprotected [5/5] A nice music video. I likeed the choreography in this video. The stages look great too.

6.) Crossroads US Movie Trailer [Not Graded] This is a trailer for then upcoming movie "Crossroads." I do not think a movie trailer deserves a review. However, it is neatly put together.
