In addition, it advises new consultants on how to get started and provide experienced consultants with ideas to enrich and expand their practices.

What do image consultants do? According to York-McDaniel,"They advise and coach people on their apprarance and presentation skills--from what they wear, to how they talk and carry their bodies,to the etiquette they use in business and social situations." Who are good candidates for the profession? "Those who are interested in fashion and like helping people, mothers who are want flexible schedules, and soon-to-be retirees considering second careers, she says.

York-McDaniel is the director of AFI, which she established in 1983 in McLean, Virginia. Now located in Phoenix, Arizona, AFI trains an certifies new image consultants and provides continuing edcation to experienced consultants.

York-McDaniel is a nationally recignized expert in the field of image consulting. She has appeared on television and radio and has been featured in many publications, including the Chicago Tribune, Entrepreneur, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Newsweek, N.Y. Daily News, People magazine, The Washington Post, Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

There is no real content here that you cannot find in a generic business book. The whole book looks like a compilation of old PPT's with an inviting title.
Waste of money.
