Unbelievably thorough and still exiting all through,

This book gives you detailed and well written information of all the famous players and historical matches. Nevertheless it never gives you just boring statistics. It gives you essay style comments all the time. Learn more about the big stars and get the whole story. Read about Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth and Joe DiMaggio or the historical battles between the New York Yankees and the Brooklyn Dodgers. You will still find players not as well known but still contributing to the history of baseball such as one-armed outfielder Pete Gray or fifteen-year-old pitcher Joe Nuxhall, both playing during the war. This volume is really immense. Read and enjoy.

There are also classic stories of great victories and
crushing defeats; of the greats of the game; and of the
ballparks in which they played and coached.
A great primer for the young baseball fan, and a great
refresher for fans wanting to brush up on their baseball
history.
