In addition to the fact that all the tracks are from master tapes, they have also included all the 12" versions, including ours(Razormaid). [Although they should have asked permission first] Anyone collecting Peter Godwin, this is the CD to get! - jw

I just received this CD in the mail today very quickly from a great seller on here, and I'm amazed with the sound fidelity! Images Of Heaven has never sounded so crisp and clear! Before I purchased this CD, the only song I owned by Peter Godwin was "Images of Heaven", but it was on an 80's compilation CD and, alas, I could tell by listening to it that the true fidelity of the original recording just wasn't there. On this CD however, the song's drums have that beautiful "punch" behind them, and Images of Heaven is a very keyboard heavy and somewhat robotic (which I like) percussion-based song, which perfectly suits the song's theme, and it's fantastic! I very much liked all the other tracks on this CD as well, but there was one track that particularly grabbed my attention that I haven't heard before, and this track was "Young Pleasure." A very beautiful song and definitely one of my favourites on this CD. If you are a Peter Godwin fan like me, I definitely recommend purchasing this CD. Get it while you still can!

The music of Peter Godwin the singer (not to be confused with the writer of the same name) is along the New Romantic lines of the New Wave genre. It fits well with Roxy Music, Ultravox, Visage and the Spoons. There is something slightly hauting and beautiful in this style of music even though the music is mostly synthesized.
