I heard the performance of "In the Dragon's Garden" in Pesaro in 1992 and it was a fascinating experience. Nathanson and Bongiorno are extreme specialists on their instruments.
Having this in mind, ordering the CD Images, I must say that, to my regrets, this CD was a little disappointing. First because none of the played pieces equal the quality of the Dragon, second because the recording is so dry as if they are playing in a room with no acoustics at all. That's why this CD does not give the experience of a real performance.
