Being introduced to Saga's music only recently, I am puzzled over why the band hasn't received the proper attention it really deserves. At the same time most of us do know what kind of music is being played on MTV and premier radion stations, so what else should I expect?
Images at Twilight, the second album by this talented band is full of magnificent progressive rock songs. The combination of strong songwriting, amazing musicanship, crafty guitars, massive yet smart use of keyboards (one of the trademarks of the band) and superb vocals really puts this band on another planet. Add all that to the unforgetable melodies that stay in one's head for hours and you really got the winning formula - the band really shines on this record. I like all the songs, there isn't a single weak one here. But the real standouts for me are Images, Hot to Cold and Mouse in a Maze. The following year after that the band released another excellent record that would even top the Images. That was truly the best era for Saga, perhaps the most underrated band of the most underrated genre. Thanks for reading.

Classic Rock from the MOST UNDERRATED Band,

Saga, the most underrated rock band on the face of the earth, released this fantastic and captivating album in 1980 - and it's yet to sound dated. Their flawless musicianship, virtuosity, solid concept and remarkable taste still deliver the goods more than 20 years later. No serious Rock music collector or Rock musician should miss this album - or any of the other SAGA releases of this period (finally available in glorious Re-Master versions): the ground-breaking self-title debut SAGA, the superb and stylish SILENT KNIGHT and their delicious WORLDS APART. If you are a RUSH, ASIA, YES, PINK FLOYD, TRANSATLANTIC or SPOCK'S BEARD fan and you have not heard SAGA, you are seriously missing out!

This album is fantastic with a great album opener "It's Time"!! Ian Crichton's guitar work always amazes me, excellent stuff. Check out the guitar solo in "You're Not Alone" and the most underrated track in my opinion has got to be "Hot to Cold", which has a really awesome vocal interplay between Michael Sadler & Jim Crichton(?). Overall a great album, highly recommended.

Incredible epic-styled melodies, hard to believe their melodies are not more well known indeed, particularly the media, sports channels, etc. As one commenter said, they should have been a lot more popular. I prefer the early years myself, but I have to admitt I have not listened the newest stuff.
Of the almost near or over a thousand of CD's from the 80's and 90's and beyond that I have, this group is one of the few groups I listen to all the time, and I know many rock bands !!! Your stereo eqipmente will sound incredible ! Trust me ! This band is amazing.

Saga...a band that had an FM radio hit in the 70's"On the Loose"have been a progressive band from Canada, that had no success in America but are huge in Europe.Their music is consistant and the musicianship is as good as any today.30 years of great music...America you don't know what you've missed. This cd has less keyboard more guitar but Sadler's voice is the key.Passion and experience....that is Saga!!!!

Killer Sci-Fi/Fantasy Record from '79!!,

Saga really nailed the whole sci-fi/fantasy vibe from the 70's. They do it in such a believeable way that many of their contemporaries pale in comparision. They're also totally unknown in the U.S.!! Incredible!! They sould have been bigger than any Canadian band here. A main reason is that they have a very "European" sound; majestic, musical and tasteful. This record is a must. All the songs rule, great w/ headphones, great production, cool video, great packaging. Also get their other 2 early remasters, and DO NOT miss "Behaviour" when it comes out in their next phase of re-releases! It's Time!!

This an excellent cd from 79. It starts out with one of their best songs It's Time. The best songs on here are It's time, take it or leave it, Images, you're not alone. See them smile and slow motion are really solid too. Mouse in a maze(actually there is a better version of it on phase one) and hot to cold are good not great. It's highly keyboard oriented cd with timely guitar parts in it.

Every track is different (unlike some artists who repeat basic sounds for all their work) The synthetic instruments sound incredible esp. in a car or with headphones on - every note and word is crystal clear.
