This is a GREAT train set,it is actually built with more quality and detail than the Thomas the Train and Brio Sets. It has good solid construction, the items are all scratch resistant ( so it stays looking nice), and it has interactive sounds and lights! My only problem is that if you take the set apart it is really hard to get it back together... I lost my instructions ( so keep them!). My son (2) spends hours playing with the set! It has helped him with hand-eye coordination, color recognition, counting, and memory. It is by far best investment ever!!! We usually buy the Thomas Trains to go on the track and they work perfect!

This is a great product and the kids will love it, but Toys R Us sells it for $159 regular price and $129 on sale right now! Why pay $400 for the toy?

Even though we got this table for a fraction of the price ($129) it would have been a true blue value at full price as well. The table is well constructed; looks fantastic and the kids love it. This is a QUALITY table with lights, sounds, a full train set, bridges, cargo, a train station, a gas station, street lamps, trees, a crane and even a truck to carry the cargo as well as a helicopter and figures.
Thomas the Tank engines do fit on this set.

It took me about 4 hours to put it together on Christmas Eve (but I took breaks and had no help). Afterwards I bought a 1/8" plywood at Home Depot (I bought a big sheet for $7 and they cut it down to size I specified), then glued the mat onto the plywood using wood glue. This makes the table very sturdy. I also glued the helipad and the gas attendant using crazy glue.

By the way, part "O" on the plans is drawn wrong and it seems as if they want you to put it together upside down, beware.

Overall a great buy and a fantastic toy on which my 2.5 boy plays by himself for an hour or so (which makes this buy priceless).

Ditto to prior post - just bought it at Toys R Us for 129.99. Can't beat the price for this wonderful set-up!

I am astounded by how much this seller is charging for this train set! $399?????? You can get this EXACT train set at Toys R Us for their regular price of $159. Even better? For the past few months, this exact set has been on sale for $129!!!!!! The seller should be ashamed for kicking up the price that much!!! Tis the season??? Sheesh!

Fabulous for the price. Includes EVERYTHING. Three different parts of the track have audible noises, which make it really fun.
The table takes longer than you think to assemble. We found ourselves up later than we wanted to be on Christmas Eve...
If someone has any ideas for permanently fixing the track to the play mat, I would be up for suggestions. Also, my kids keep running into the drawer handles on each side of the train table. They stick out further than I would like. Will either remove them, or put cushion on them. Fantastic Toy. Fantastic price at Toys R US.

Bought this yesterday at Toys R Us for $75.00. They have it on clearance for $99 and then 25% off all clearance stuff right now. The train table took a little while to put together but the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I would recommend a little glue on the columns on the buildings as they aren't held in really good. This is just as good as the Thomas the Train toys but not as expensive. They table comes with all the track and accessories that you see in the picture. My daughter loves it. She hasn't stopped playing with it.

Well as alot of other reviews state, you can get this same exact table from Toys R Us for alot cheaper. The packaging is bulky/heavy, it is very likely to receive damage during shipping. However customer service with this product (made by toys r us) is top notch, and they are very helpful in rectifying any issues. Now for the completed table and set, it is quite impressive. It seems to be of good quality, think they use High Density Fiber board instead of a lower quality medium density in the table construction. The train set is mostly wood with a few integrated plastic components, the magnet reactive plates that set off various lights and sounds are great, way beyond what I grew up with. The trains themselves seem to have more detail than alot of other similar branded items, and roll nice. It really is a build it yourself item, if you aren't the handiest person this could be an issue. It took me about 45 minutes to put the table together, then another hour plus to construct the buildings and assemble the track. I used a light duty power driver and the provided "tool". Overall I think it is a great table and other than damage of the first table I received due to shipping I would recommend it to anyone with the suggestion you pick it up in a store (if you dont live a long distance from the closest Toys R Us).

This is a great toy but im sorry ive seen this same toy for much less then what your selling it for. At the Toysrus yesterday it was on sale for $119.00 and its none sale price is 159.99 so why your trying to sell it for $250 is a bit much

We've built and kept the set as shown for my 2.5 year old son. He loves the multiple track levels, the inner and outer track loops, and the accessories. It seems to be a pretty durable set.

Was missing some pieces for the table and had to be improvised by my builder brother.

It's been a big hit! Fits wooden Thomas trains.
