the price on this through amazon in crazy...you can buy this at toys r us for 299.00

this dollhouse is really wonderful for the children, more lifelike. my 2 and a half year old granddaughter loves it and i play with it too. but because she pretends to live in it with the dolls, she laid down in the kitchen with her body, and i noticed the shelf was not supported enough to hold 35 pounds. not to mention she kept standing on the shelf and climbing up. so then i had to buy wood to support the front edges and floors of the house. i also added in the middle floor of the garage, 2 rows of metal knitting needles placed also in wood to hang the dresses on hangers there. put white screw in teacup hooks in between railings to hang accessories on. i love this dollhouse. and later can be used as a clothing shelf when she grows up. i paid 225.oo for the house at xmas time toysrus on sale.

This price for this house is ridiculus!!! I purchased two of these houses for my girls and paid only $224 each on sale at Toys R Us and even when they are not on sale they only cost $299. They have got to be kidding!

Overall - we are very pleased with this dollhouse -- the only drawback --and it's a biggy --is that the furniture comes apart VERY easily! The pegs that let the doors swing open on the fridge and oven etc. are way too short!

My daughter is 7 and wanted this doll house last year for Christmas. It was sold out every where in October, so I wasn not able to find it. She got the Barbie doll house instead. So this Christmas I was able to find the Grand View Doll House.

I can tell you she loves it! It is huge, she needs to stand on a step stool to reach the attic. She just loves it.

Being a single mother, I had to put this together myself. The only problem I encountered where 4 holes for screws for one support bracket were off. New holes had to be drilled, but no big deal.

All in all this was definitely worth the money!

My children love this dollhouse. Unlike a lot of other dollhouses we researched, this one comes with a variety of different kinds of rooms instead of just six different rooms where there's nothing to have the dolls do except sit. Some dollhouses we researched were like: a living room with a couch, a den with a couch, a reading room with a chair, another room with a chair and another room with a couch. This one has rooms with different functions so the kids can create more scenarios for their dolls: a kitchen, a bathroom, an exercise room, a nursery, a patio, etc. The only thing stopping me from giving this 5 stars is the fact that the doors on some of the furniture and appliances -- like the oven, for example -- come off very easily. They snap back in easily enough for my 7-year-old to put them back on, but not easily enough for any of my younger three kids to get them back on. Consequently, I'm constantly finding the doors lying around because they popped off and the kids couldn't put them back on. They're not particularly rough with it; the doors fall off when I carefully try to open them, too. Other than that, we're very happy with the dollhouse. We also paid $250 for it at Toys R Us . . . the price tag here at Amazon is pretty steep!

I just purchased this at Toys R US for $149! Half off regular price...So as I read these reviews, it looks like I got quite a good deal. We have 2 8 yrs olds and a 5 yr old. I hope it doesn't fall apart on them. (A few people have said the furniture doors are a bit flimsy). Time will tell!

I bought this dollhouse for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas 2010. I read the reviews and was very impressed, but the reviews were nothing compared to seeing the actual dollhouse in all it's splendor...It is absolutely gorgeous, and the furniture is real wood. We have it in our living-room. It's the first thing guests comment on when they enter the LR. As soon as they see it, their mouths drop open and they are in awe over how big and beautiful this dollhouse is. In addition to the outside, all the furnishings are very modern...heck I want Imaginarium to come decorate my house..LOL!!!........With all that said, The only thing I would find more rediculous than Amazon's price tag on this item, is someone actually purchasing it from Amazon for that price. As stated in many of the other reviews, I purchased this item for $225.00 from Toys R Us...do yourself a favor and buy it from them. Even at their regular price, it's only $299.00.

This dollhouse is beautiful! But this person selling on amazon is trying to make a MAJOR PROFIT off of desperate parents! It sells way cheaper from toys r us! Plus Imaginarium is made exclusively for toys r us! So these people bought from toys r us and jacked up the price! This dollhouse is actually now discontinued from toys r us. They are making a newer model! Go to target.com and get the majestic dollhouse it is equally great!

This dollhouse is amazing, it is sold only by toys r us, and it cost 299 when not on sale. The price on amazon is CRAZY! Ive seen it as much as 589.00! what are they thinking?! The dollhouse like I said is amazing. Its so sturdy and the furniture it came with is so heavy and made so well. I cant even begin to tell you how detailed the house is, and how big. I did end up paying 300 dollars for it because toys r us sold out before christmas and wasnt getting another shipment in they werent even in stock at there warehouse... Amazon was the only place I could find it unfourtnatley but my daughter has played with it non stop! I am 5'1 and the peek of the roof is as tall as me. my four year old daughter cant even see in the atic with out a stool lol!
