5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Bath Toy!
Both of my daughters, ages 2 and 4, love these fish. The set includes dozens of different colored fish in many shapes and sizes. Some fish have tiny eyes that are best removed before first use, since a child might try to eat them. Each fish is two colors, one per side, so there are lots of combinations for using them. My older girl likes to sort them by shape or...

I bought these for christmas for my 2 year old son and he loved them! We both had fun putting them up and taking them down, and yes-they really do stick. But the problem with that is if you don't take them off the wall and rinse them off after the bath then lay them out to dry, because they are very pourous, they grow mold like a chia pet grows hair! And they get less...

My older girl likes to sort them by shape or color. My little girl likes to take them in and out of the container. The container has holes in the bottom, so you can store the fish without them getting moldy. I always keep the top off the lid as well for extra ventilation. These are well made and very durable, although I don't think using them as teethers is a good idea. They will definitely tear if chewed too much. They stick to the wet walls of the tub as well as to wet skin, they float, and encourage creative, pretend play. A great value for the price in terms of the amount of time they keep a child engaged. I plan to buy the letters set next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Granny of 7, October 26, 2004

I've purchased this item for 2 families of infant/toddler grandkids and all of them love the "fishes".
First they float, so they are easy to find (don't sink to the bottom), second they are bright colors so they don't disappear under bubbles or shampoo spillover and third they stick to the walls. This item makes bathtime a learning experience too!!; teaching colors, types of fish and counting.
My grandkids also found chewing on the "fishes" fun (those sore gums, they chew on everything) we found that if the babies only played with the fishes in the bathtub (as they were designed to be played with) we were able to keep an eye on the fishes and could rescue them before they are eaten.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this item for all.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are not designed for teething anyway!, July 10, 2004

Anyone who buys these should have a 24 month old AT LEAST, (or at least a not a baby whos going to chew them apart) It says right on the manufactors recommended age 24 months and up. A child could choke or get hurt teething on these things if he has teeth and can tear them apart. They're for older kids!

My kids have recieved these and the numbers ones. They love them but I don't allow them around the baby because he could choke.

Sorry to be a downer but it's the truth.

But the problem with that is if you don't take them off the wall and rinse them off after the bath then lay them out to dry, because they are very pourous, they grow mold like a chia pet grows hair! And they get less sticky as time goes on, making them fall off the walls and onto the tub floor. Then they become very sticky. I would buy this product again, but i would also buy a dish strainer for them to rinse and dry them with.

I bought these for my nephew's 2nd birthday. My sister-in-law called me the day he got them and said she couldnt get him out of the tub! He sits and plays, sticks the fishes all over the tub and himself! I totally reccommend this item for any kid that loves bath time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super bath toy -- lots variety -- 2 y-o daughter loves them, November 3, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Imaginarium Tub Fun Fish
This is one of the better bath toys we have purchased. I'd have given it 5 stars if there were just a few more colors or if the color combinations made any sort of sense based on the color wheel. STILL, our daughter loves them, there is a good variety of color and type of fish (seahorses, sharks, fish, etc.). They stick to the side of the tub with little effort, stay up when you want them to, and come off easily when it's time to put them away. We found it easier to remove all the little "inserts" before giving them to our daughter the 1st time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clean, fun and durable, June 24, 2004

I bought these a few months ago for my son, who is now 9 months old. I was looking for something easy to clean, that wouldn't mildew and would be easy enough for a 6 month old to grab. The fish have been perfect. He has 6 teeth now and some of the fish are severely battle scarred, but none of them have come apart -- not so much as a tip of a fin is missing. It's easy to shove a handful of them into a suitcase for trips, which helps make a strange place a little more comfortable during his bedtime routine. I only wish they came in bolder colors.

3.0 out of 5 stars NOT for a Teething Child!, February 25, 2004
By A Customer
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars

I bought this product for my 11 month old -- but would not give it to him after I realized how easy it was to tear them. There is a reason that the manufacturer recommended 24 months and up. Based on what I had read about them -- I believed that they would be much stronger, more durable and were suitable for a child that was teething. That is NOT the case. He would have easily had a chunk of these in his mouth in no time. I think that this product could easily be a choking hazard for a young child and I would be very cautious about buying them as teethers. I do like them however and I plan to give these to him when he is a little older. I think it will be fun to use them to teach him colors and new words. I would just advise against buying them for a young child that is teething.

Other than needing a well ventillated area to store the critters, my 3 1/2 year old has a great time playing mommy and baby with the different sizes. They stick easily to the wall. the only drawback was the little bubble pieces that are hard to get out and get into the first couple of baths.

I purchased these fish for my 2 year old son. He has fun playing with them and sticking the fish on the wall of the bathtub. My son is not a fussy bather but, I would think these would make a great distraction if you had one!!!!
