5.0 out of 5 stars A Nation's Heart, October 16, 2001

This review is from: Imaginary Lines (Audio CD)
Laing's is a warm, melodious tenor, with a hint of brogue, reminiscent of Gordon Lightfoot. The orchestration is gentle, the lyrics bright and clear; the variety of songs lively and engaging.

I first heard "A Nation's Heart" on the radio program, "Thistle and Shamrock" which was aired shortly after the 11 September attacks. It's a song full of hope, and hope is something we very much need nowadays. Buy the CD for "A Nation's Heart," and you will find it a total listening pleasure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Beautiful Collection from Robin Laing, December 31, 2006
This review is from: Imaginary Lines (Audio CD)
Some of the most calming, yet also uplifting, sounds ever. My favorite track on this one: Closer to Heaven (and it really is close).
