This review is from: Imagination and Innovation: The Story of Weston Woods (Hardcover)
I have had the pleasure of being taught by Dr. Cech, and I must say that the man has changed my life for the better in every way possible. His presence is not only captivating, but the care and time he puts into each of his students shows how much he truly cares about his life's work, educating future writers of America. The amount of time, effort, and love that Dr. Cech puts into teaching, is displayed here in his story of Weston Woods. I had the pleasure of being in Dr. Cech's class almost every semester for the past four years, and because of this I had the pleasure of watching his story of Weston Woods unfold. I encourage all readers, young and old to immerse yourself in Cech's Imagination and Innovation: The Story of Weston Woods and fall in love with his writing, the way that I feel in love with his teaching years ago. I owe my English degree to this man, and I believe his book will inspire you to fall in love with English and the history of this studio as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Story Of Weston Woods (Imagination And Innovation), December 26, 2010

This review is from: Imagination and Innovation: The Story of Weston Woods (Hardcover)
very well illustrated book, nice storytelling of the storical evolve of Weston Woods animation center.
a bit focused into Schindel creator. very sparse knowledge teaching of animation essentials,
the author is not an animator. included storyboard for Sendak masterpiece book adaptation
into animation is a highlight. directed to librarians and teacher minded,
reinforcing the 'book adapter' mentality of weston woods production.
brilliant exposition of comercial processes and literary qualities of storytelling for children
within educational context. also an important review of edutainment industry evolution in USA
since 1940 to 2008. i really liked the book and the insights were enlightining.
