Do you want your children to listen to songs filled with irresistable energy and positive messages that you can enjoy, too? Do you want them to get up and move -- dancing, clapping, hopping and stomping? Of course you do, and that's why you need to get them "Stir It Up," the first DVD released by the award-winning children's group Imagination Movers.

"Stir It Up" presents 15 songs in a mix of MTV-style (yet child appropriate) videos and performances from their live shows, with a few goofy skits added for fun. The songs successfully blend kid-friendly themes with a bouyant mix of hip/hop, rock, rockabilly, old school R&B, reggae and calypso beats. The choreography is simple and uncomplicated, making it easy for children to get on their feet and join in the fun.

So, by now you've figured out I like "Stir It Up," but the true test of a children's DVD is whether children like it. "Stir It Up" not only passes that test, it gets and A+ and extra credit! The first time I played the DVD for my distracted 3-year old, she was moving and grooving with the Imagination Movers seconds into the high-energy first song, "Recipe (Stir It Up)." She was encouraged to "Reach high, think big, work hard, [and] have fun" in "Calling All Movers." She found out bedtime doesn't have to be scary listening to "I Want My Mommy" and even learned that cleaning up can be fun from "Clean My Room." As soon as the DVD ended, she was begging me to "play it again, Mommy." Best of all, "Stir It Up" has survived the fickleness of a 3-year old, constantly remaining my child's favorite DVD for the past few months.

The sound and video are not as slick and polished as bigger-budget DVDs, but that doesn't matter. Children love the Imagination Movers and they love "Stir It Up!" "Stir It Up" is a must-have for your child's DVD library.

We thought the CDs where good but this was a fantastic DVD full of color & enthusiasm. Absolutely fabulous creativity and Imagination by the Movers. My daughter loves to dance and sing with the Movers. We've watched this DVD so much we've just about worn it out. I strongly recommend this DVD to anyone with active children. Can't wait for the next release. Keep up the great work Imagination Movers!!!!!!

The Imagination Movers are a rare breed in the world of child entertainment. It amuses children, and adults can actually like it too. I like the Rich, Scott, Dave, and Smitty's appearance, music, and messages. It's fun. Their videos are definitely produced on a low budget, but the Imagination Movers are charming and fun nonethless.

This has been a great cd for our son, he enjoys the music and the dancing.

The Imagination Movers are a great group of guys who we first saw during Playhouse Disney every morning. My grandson loves to watch this DVD, he comes running when he hears the music. The songs are fun and are about every day things, like snacks, sleeping in your own bed, brushing your teeth. They encourage the children to participate in the songs, which makes it even more fun.

Our family has become big fans of the Movers after hearing them on satellite radio. We were so excited that they finally came out with a DVD. We check their website all the time but they haven't made it out to us yet (we're still hoping). Anyways, the DVD will have to settle for now.

Their music is great and their videos are even better! Many of the songs have dances so of course the kids watch it over and over to get the dance moves down. My oldest daughter liked "Recipe" - there were a lot of kids her age in this video. My youngest laughs and dances when she sees "Clean My Room." I like "Mommy" and my husband "Playing Catch."

Truly a DVD the whole family can enjoy. We're proof!

My son LOOOOOVES the Movers. We've had this video since they first put it out as a promo. I'm really surprised it hasn't worn out yet!!
This video is definitly low budget and kinda hokey. Don't expect the 'Disney' t.v. show version. This was made 'back in the day' when the Movers were just starting out and was filmed in their hometown of NOLA (Chidrens Museum, etc).
You'll recognize the songs and the silliness of the Movers. It's a charming video and any kid who loves the Movers will love it!

My decision to buy this dvd was a bit iffy because of the other negative reviews talking about how "Low Budget" looking it is. But I took a chance and my 2 1/2 yr. old daughter loves it to death!! She could care less about the production! She sings along and dances her little body around! I Highly Recommend this Dvd for toddlers, believe me they're gonna love it!!

I love this DVD!!! My son, now 10 months doesn't watch a lot of TV but as a nightly time to relax ritual we pop this in and it's all singing and smiles. The songs all relate to learning things like eating healthy, brushing teeth, cleaning your room, so we sing the songs around the house as we do things given us even more smiles and making our daily routines fun. Of course my favorite part is our "Special" song that only Mommy can sing!

I have two boys, and they go crazy over this dvd... This is the BEST "kid" music out there... you will love it!
