I agree with the other reveiwers about the fun aspects of this game, but there is something you need to know....On the back of the disk in small print you will find the following:

"Notice: This game contains technology intended to prevent copying that MAY CONFLICT with some disc and virtual drives." The word "technology usually refers to software that is planted on your system to stop you from copying this disk. The word "Conflict" means that you could find that you are no longer able to burn a CD of any kind.

I have a big problem with any program that implants unwanted controls on my hardware. It is a deal breaker for me, but you may wish to install the software anyway. Before you do, make sure that you set a "system restore" point on your computer. If you suddenly find that you have issues with your CD/DVD player or computer after installing this, remove it and go back the restore point.

You should also note the following from the back of the box "LAPTOP VERSIONS of the supported video cards are not supported though they may work." So if the program causes problems on you laptop, you are on your own.

The program supports the following DESKTOP computer cards: NVIDIA G-Force 3,4 FX,6,7,8 series, ATI Radeon 750/850/900-980/X30-X1950/HD2400-2900, S3 Graphics Chrome S27. If you have an off-brand video card it may not work on your system.

I bought this game for Christmas for both my 10 year old daughter and myself. This is probably the best computer game we've played in a very long time; and we have played all of the "tween" games. Not only are you able to create fashions with the use of many choices, but you also can do hair and make up, jewelry, runways, and photo shoots. And while having fun creating all of this you are actually working as a young designer and completing "missions" which brings in an aspect of quests to the game. Extremely fun!!!! We played this game first and by the way, there is so much content it kept us busy for a few days and we didn't even touch any of our other Christmas toys until we completed this game. I actually wish I could give this game more than 5 stars!!!!

I purchased this for my 13 year old daughter for Christmas. She got a lot of other gifts and games, but has played this one the most. The game lets you create fashions and then make a photo shoot or runway show. It also has a feature where you work for a boss and follow his/her instructions to get ahead in the fashion world. Loads of fun!

I bought the game as a Christmas gift for my 10 year old daughter. The game seemed to be fantastic. Game Vendor (the reseller) did a great job: on time and well packaged. But the game requires certain types of video cards which are not properly advised on the "Product Features" section. I have a brand new desktop (recently bought), very powerful 2Quand Processor 1.66 Ghz and 4 Gb Ram. No way. The make up and jewerly extensions are useless, image pixelates and/or gets distorted. Vendor should be more specific to avoid wasted money and failed expectancies, more likely to be a kind of "cheating silence".

I bought this game because I love designing clothes and putting outfits together. Imagine Fashion Designer allows that because you do EVERYTHING!
Make up you apply yourself, tatoos, jewelery, take pictures, do the fashion show, put together a Portfolio of your work.
Last it's great b/c they have adventunre mode which has an alright story line. Then they have workshop mode, where you can just freely do whatever you want with a model. I created my own lingerie line lol :)
Great game for young girls. Be careful it has small minor techinical problems on my computer. It works fine on my mom's new HP Vista Windows computer. My HP vista laptop doesnt work with the game because anytime I put makeup on her face, her face turns BLACK...so watch out for that :)

Great game until the point where I went to put makeup on my model or do a manicure or create a necklace. Model's face turns black and distorted with random patterns. Unplayable due to this. I have a brand new 2008 Dell vostro 200 computer and apparently the video card it comes with isn't one of the supported ones?? I've already contacted ubisoft support, this is so upsetting. Why make a game that even a new Dell can't run properly???

We bought this game for my 10 year old daughter who is ALL about fashion. Game runs well, but has several bugs, one which will not allow you to save your 'progress' so she has started over several times IN TEARS about losing her game. It also has her spending a HUGE amount of time WALKING her character around, a complete waste of time, only to 'chat' with other characters and they don't interact, other than to tell her character with attitude, I don't have time to talk to you right now. I am so annoyed with this game, and am only giving it 1 stars rather than 0 stars because it did hold her attention, even if it had her upset most of the time, and I guess 0 stars is not even an option. Our computer can run all the graphics, but the lack of 'gamemenship' compared to the products available for her younger brother is extremely upsetting. We have now bought the new Barbie Fashion Show, after reading nothing but stellar reviews. I would not recommend this piece of software garbage to anyone, especially not someone trying to make a young girl happy for a holiday gift!!!!!!!

I received an Amazon gift card as a prize for completing a survey, and I used it to buy the Imagine Fashion Designer computer game. It was totally awesome!!! I love this game, especially the adventure mode. You get to design clothes and jewelry, do make-up, photo shoots and catwalks following some customer guidelines of course. There are other fun activities too. This was the first girl type game I ever played on the computer, so yeah, it was totally cool!

My friend ordered this game, but could never complete it because it glitches 80% of the way through. I ordered it and mine does the same thing. I'd send it back, but can't find the shipping label. Game is no good to me. Would love to send it back and get my money back for it....

I've only given this a three star due to the fact I've also encountered the problem of the face turning black when applying make-up; the Manicure Workshop not working; and the Jewelry Workshop not working. I purchased one of the top of the line HP computers about 10 months so this is very frustrating that this game has problems. Wondering if anyone knows what the "fix" is for this. Is there something else that needs to be purchased and loaded into my computer? If this game did not have these problems, I'm sure it would be lots of fun.
