LOVE this soup! It is very rich and creamy, with only 80 calories per cup and 1 gram of fat. It has no added MSG, it is non-dairy, preservative free, and it tastes as good as a gourmet soup from a five-star restaurant. It is also specifically labeled "Gluten-free," which I need.

Note: Not all Imagine soups are gluten-free, so if you need gluten-free, check the individual labels.

Enjoy!

I prepare most dishes from scratch, but with this great soup, why bother? It's good alone, or try adding pasta and spinach for a meal...or any number of other ingredients. Highly recommend.

Something has gone horribly wrong in the factory. I have never had a more flavorless, flat and awful soup in my life. Creamy? Where? No, it isn't. Basil? No way. We tried to doctor it to make it palatable and it is AWFUL!! Batch number 759254.

Found this soup for $1.25 box at Big Lots and thought I would give it a try. OMG it was soooo good, I ran to look at the label to find out how bad I'd been after having a big bowl. Pleasantly surprised to realize not only is it organic, but there's no heavy cream and it's low in fat! Went back and cleared the shelves. Perfect for a quick and tasty lunch or dinner during these cooler winter nights. Great with garlic croutons, garlic bread, or grilled cheese. To really go all out, dress it up w/some fresh basil and a dollup of sour cream or creme fraiche - as good as any tomato bisque I've had in a restaurant.

I picked up a box (16 ounces) of Imagine Organic Creamy Tomato Soup at my nearby grocer. I'm certain it is exactly the same soup as this, but it comes in a slightly different package. Right on the outside, it says "New Package same size." In any case, I had a bowl with my evening meal. It was quite good. I wouldn't rate it with the best tomato soup I've ever had, but it was much better than ordinary canned varieties. It has a good fresh tomato flavor and a nice creamy texture that allows it to go down easy. The soup seems a little high in sodium, not apparent by taste, which seems to be the case with many prepared soups. The fat and calories are low. It's a nice soup and went well with the other foods I had.

I love La Madeline's tomato basil soup but I also have a milk and lactose allergy that forbids me from eating the soup- unless I want to spend all night with a painful, cramping stomach. I bought this at my local Whole Foods and fell in love. It is so creamy like it actually has cream. I did add some cayenne and italian seasoning to jazz it up for my taste buds. I served with lactose free grilled cheese sandwiches. Perfect and light meal for a chilly evening.

If there had a been a zero star that would have been my choice. I tried this soup because I liked the description & the fact that it was organic. To say it tasted horrible would be an understatement. There is a vinegary, sour, edge to this soup...nothing like tomatoes at all.
