Imagine Party Babyz brings the fun of the popular Babyz franchise to the Wii in the form of a play date neither you or your child will soon forget. Reminiscent of earlier releases in the franchise where players nurture individual babies while mothers and fathers are away at work or on errands, Imagine Party Babyz expands on the idea with the twist of placing players in the role of a baby in daycare.

'Imagine Party Babyz' game logo
Gameplay
Built around a line-up of 30 mini-games that are design to be playable by yourself or in multiplayer mode with up to three additional players, the first task you face is to customize the baby you will be playing as. This consists of the usual options of facial features, eyes, hair, clothing and accessories, etc. From there you are tossed right on the rug as the wacky childcare professional running the daycare you have been left at leads you and the rest of the nursery through a series of baby specific mini-games. Just a few of these are the timelessly slow, racing classic: Red Light, Green Light, which has players wildly shaking the Wii Remote to move their baby forward as the babysitter's back is turned and freezing when he/she turns around; and a takeoff the common giant puzzle game children adore, in which players use the Wii Remote to get their babies to fit pieces in place. The perfect multiplayer Wii game for parents to play with their young children, Imagine Party Babyz brings the magic of a child's experience to life for both kids and kids at heart.

Key Game Features:

  • 30 hilarious mini-games.
  • Character customization of your babies.
  • Both singleplayer and 1-4 player multiplayer support.
  • Adorable babies to care for and ultimate babysitting tasks.
  • The ability to earn in-game currency.

3.0 out of 5 stars Kinda Fun, But Short July 2, 2009
A Kid's Review
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
This game is ok. Some of the mini games are fun, but the main game is the mimi games, I mean it's not very interactive. Sure, some video games aren't like that, but if there's a girl trying to get to be a special expert babysitter, wouldn't you want to interact with the babies a little more? I enjoyed dressing the babies though. Also, the game is only a little challenging, and the races are kind of hard. Here's one of my main points: it's short, and mostly easy. Well, two points. It only took me a few days to finish,(I'm nine), so I think this game is good for kids 5-7, well, 4 and 3 years can play it too, but may need help reading stuff in the game. If you want to get this for your kids that are 8+, or they want to get it, I think you should rent it. So I'm saying, good to buy for 5-7 year olds, and good to rent for 8+, for a few days of fun.

3.0 out of 5 stars Um it's okay. December 30, 2008

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
my 7 year old daughter got this in her stocking. It's all right, she really likes it but no one else has really played it, so I can't tell if it's because it's "hers" or if she truly enjoys it.
You get to dress up 4 different babies and as you win games it unlocks more clothing choices, this is her favorite part.
There appear to be a ton of mini games,
It's a good non violent game for a younger child. especially girls if you want to steer clear of the disney singing themed games.

Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I got this game for my four year old daughter. She has some what a hard time with the controllers but not that bad. I also enjoy playing this game and unlocking the outfits for the babys. Also Even though it is harder for her she still loves to play it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected, but I love it July 22, 2012
By Sussy
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this game because I thought it was titled "Partly Babies". I thought it was a game like those movies where the people switch bodies, but a grown up switches into a babies body. I thought it would be fun to see the world through the eyes of a baby with the knowledge of what it's like as an adult. Instead, I got a game about babies who like to party. Once again, not what I expected.

As an avid Call of Duty and Halo fan, I was skeptical about even putting this in my xbox. Clearly, this game was intended for the Wii system and someone much younger than I. After getting a few messages about how my 360 couldn't read the disc, I decided to try it in my Wii. Sure enough, it worked great!

The next thing I knew, I was transported into a world of Party Babyz. I was dressing up babies! I was making them drink milk! I was having them dance! It was all around a great Baby Party, and far better than any Baby Party I've been to in the real world. Those kids rarely dance.

Some of the minigames were fun, I enjoyed the one where you destroy the Baby Death-Star in your little Luke Skywalker outfit, or the one where you do the olympic high dive as a child. My favorite one has to be the "Animorphs" inspired mini-game where you turn into a half-bird/half-baby mutant and fly around the skies looking for other birds to fight. Watch out for the eagles, they will wreck your world.

Overall, it wasn't what I expected, but I highly recommend it for any Call of Duty or Halo fan looking for something fresh. It definitely reminded me of my childhood.

1.0 out of 5 stars BORING January 2, 2011
Verified Purchase
Fun: 1.0 out of 5 stars
Takes a long time to load between mini games. Babies noise is obnoxious. Would never buy if I knew how bad a game it is. Even my 6 yr. old grand daughter would not play it--save your money!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Education + Game = Party Babyz February 16, 2010
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
When I first added Party Babyz to my Gamefly queue, I figured it was just your regular old run-of-the-mill party/baby game, but it's not! I've played party games before, baby games, and party/baby games, but none can compete with the likes of Party Babyz. Upon arrival, I took a good hard look at the cover - pleasantly surprised to find the babyz having an exciting party even without me. Maracas in hand, diapers clean, and some foot stomping made me realize this isn't your ordinary party baby game. Once loaded, gameplay was seamless. Four babies, count them - one, two, three, four - to adventure with. It's true that all babies look the same, but Imagine does a good job of differentiating them with haloed colors of light - blue, purple, red, and orange. Furthermore, each baby carries a unique weapon - sword, staff, twin sais, and nunchucks. I found dynamics between the babyz was great with each baby having their own unique strengths and weaknesses. However, the fourth baby (orange one), seemed to have an unusual eating disorder and kept asking for pizza (when this happens, make sure your SIM orders a pizza! Bagel bites will not cut it!) Overall, I found the game to be very challenging and enjoyable.

3.0 out of 5 stars 2 & 1/2 of anyone older then 6 January 11, 2009
By Layna
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
first off, the description says play for currency? what currency? I played all the games & won 90% & you only unlock the next season & very cute costumes.
Pros:
artwork - gorgeous ideas & nice attention to detail in backgrounds, though seemed lack money or time to implement more textures. loved the xmas lights glowing on the snowy ground.
the costumes were beautiful & great attention to detail like real expensive ones found in a store.
controls - done well, they work, though sometimes has you flick one direction instead of another & if do it wrong, it still responds as if done correctly
individual game ideas - good variety, some originality, great idea to use parts of old arcade games
presentation - some charm feeling to it
balance board - only 5 games used it & felt lame (red light, green light, walking in inflatable toy, musical note timing, direction rhythm)

Cons:
story - lame bad comedy sitcom that make you groan in pain
personality - babies only squeal which gets annoying
sound - very little which made it feel dull, needed more event sounds to add excitement & re-playability
difficulty - great for preschoolers or kindergarten kids only, no ability to make AI more challenging
overall gameplay idea - BABIES? that target audience is VERY small & tunes out ALMOST EVERYONE. doubt most elementary kids would be interested.
Gameplay ideas implemented - can tell individual mini game pitch great idea, but implemented/programed as cheaply/simply as possible as bad as a flash game

You pick which baby you want to be from 4 babies, though you can customize their race/gender & clothing on them all. The main part is broken into 4 seasons (spring, summer), the only other options is sound levels.
