Kinda Fun, But Short,
A Kid's Review
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Imagine Party Babyz (Video Game)
This game is ok. Some of the mini games are fun, but the main game is the mimi games, I mean it's not very interactive. Sure, some video games aren't like that, but if there's a girl trying to get to be a special expert babysitter, wouldn't you want to interact with the babies a little more? I enjoyed dressing the babies though. Also, the game is only a little challenging, and the races are kind of hard. Here's one of my main points: it's short, and mostly easy. Well, two points. It only took me a few days to finish,(I'm nine), so I think this game is good for kids 5-7, well, 4 and 3 years can play it too, but may need help reading stuff in the game. If you want to get this for your kids that are 8+, or they want to get it, I think you should rent it. So I'm saying, good to buy for 5-7 year olds, and good to rent for 8+, for a few days of fun.

my 7 year old daughter got this in her stocking. It's all right, she really likes it but no one else has really played it, so I can't tell if it's because it's "hers" or if she truly enjoys it.
You get to dress up 4 different babies and as you win games it unlocks more clothing choices, this is her favorite part. There appear to be a ton of mini games, It's a good non violent game for a younger child. especially girls if you want to steer clear of the disney singing themed games.

I got this game for my four year old daughter. She has some what a hard time with the controllers but not that bad. I also enjoy playing this game and unlocking the outfits for the babys. Also Even though it is harder for her she still loves to play it.

first off, the description says play for currency? what currency? I played all the games & won 90% & you only unlock the next season & very cute costumes.
Pros: artwork - gorgeous ideas & nice attention to detail in backgrounds, though seemed lack money or time to implement more textures. loved the xmas lights glowing on the snowy ground. the costumes were beautiful & great attention to detail like real expensive ones found in a store. controls - done well, they work, though sometimes has you flick one direction instead of another & if do it wrong, it still responds as if done correctly individual game ideas - good variety, some originality, great idea to use parts of old arcade games presentation - some charm feeling to it balance board - only 5 games used it & felt lame (red light, green light, walking in inflatable toy, musical note timing, direction rhythm) Cons: story - lame bad comedy sitcom that make you groan in pain personality - babies only squeal which gets annoying sound - very little which made it feel dull, needed more event sounds to add excitement & re-playability difficulty - great for preschoolers or kindergarten kids only, no ability to make AI more challenging overall gameplay idea - BABIES? that target audience is VERY small & tunes out ALMOST EVERYONE. doubt most elementary kids would be interested. Gameplay ideas implemented - can tell individual mini game pitch great idea, but implemented/programed as cheaply/simply as possible as bad as a flash game You pick which baby you want to be from 4 babies, though you can customize their race/gender & clothing on them all. The main part is broken into 4 seasons (spring, summer), the only other options is sound levels. you also can play any one game in quick play. All games use competition between 4 babies & implement motion use as much as possible, gauges/timing, balancing sometimes & fatigue idea if walking/running to add SOME dimension & some need to pay attention in the game. Games: dig & find balls in sand & hand to correct teacher, hit monster that comes out of jack in box if same color you represent only, simple card memory game, walk/balance in that huge, popular inflatable jumping toy/ride, pop bubbles, count sheep that come out other side of barn, not ones walk in & stay in, splash toys to you, walk grab bowls on tables to feed bears w/o bumping into other babies for same bowls, drink & burp, red light/green light, jigsaw puzzle, running after & keeping blanket from others, musical notes flying hit when your color reaches circle on each side, pretend to eat & throw bad food, bocce, diaper changing (turning to fit & ducky to distract others), Simon game, swing on swing set, run to birds on ground, simplistic snowball fight, tickling baby on the right spot, grabbing toys from pile to your baby (too many to even make it interesting), snake game using bathroom tissue, sumo game, brushing teeth & gauge for spitting distance, rocking baby & shaking alarm before goes off. There is also two games that are done for all 4 seasons: a VERY simplistic rhythm game using motion up/down or left/right that is SO slow, I saw grass grow & you can swing wrong & the correctly & still counts as correct. also, a tournament race involving running, bouncing on ball & tricycle (allows left/right to push out of way) I can just feel there was great talent in the art dept, control programmers & idea people, but Ubisoft gave them little time/$$. then changed the overall pitch idea from what it was to a silly baby theme & forced them to make a baby theme story & they hated it. like a talented screenplay dumbed down by Hollywood producers. The talent that's there would be great for a more witty mini game collection like rayman raving rabbids game series. buy those instead, #2 is the easiest for kids, rent this only if you have said young kids who actually are WILLING to play as a baby. IGN wrote a detailed review giving this game a 7.5 ... I don't know what they were smoking. Ripten gave a detailed hands-on preview,

Takes a long time to load between mini games. Babies noise is obnoxious. Would never buy if I knew how bad a game it is. Even my 6 yr. old grand daughter would not play it--save your money!!

When I first added Party Babyz to my Gamefly queue, I figured it was just your regular old run-of-the-mill party/baby game, but it's not! I've played party games before, baby games, and party/baby games, but none can compete with the likes of Party Babyz. Upon arrival, I took a good hard look at the cover - pleasantly surprised to find the babyz having an exciting party even without me. Maracas in hand, diapers clean, and some foot stomping made me realize this isn't your ordinary party baby game. Once loaded, gameplay was seamless. Four babies, count them - one, two, three, four - to adventure with. It's true that all babies look the same, but Imagine does a good job of differentiating them with haloed colors of light - blue, purple, red, and orange. Furthermore, each baby carries a unique weapon - sword, staff, twin sais, and nunchucks. I found dynamics between the babyz was great with each baby having their own unique strengths and weaknesses. However, the fourth baby (orange one), seemed to have an unusual eating disorder and kept asking for pizza (when this happens, make sure your SIM orders a pizza! Bagel bites will not cut it!) Overall, I found the game to be very challenging and enjoyable.

I bought this for my 4 year old daughter - her first video game. She LOVES it. It's odd, quirky, annoying, and just prefect for a 4 year old girl to learn how to play video games.
