A full treatment of liver disease imaging, this volume consists of four sections: anatomy, diagnosis, therapy, and examination. It describes current diagnosis of various hepatobiliary diseases, with an emphasis on the diagnosis of space-occupying lesions and their treatment based on imaging. The principles and techniques are given for each of the modern imaging modalities, including ultrasonography, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, hepatic arteriography, venography, portography, and others. The most prominent feature is the presentation of actual cases with the imaging findings that contributed to the diagnosis, and a comparison of the imaging features and gross resected specimens. A total of 331 cases of various hepatobiliary diseases are illustrated for imaging characteristics and compared with gross specimens in color. There are 1370 figures, of which 156 are in color of superb quality, 70 illustrative tables and figures, and more than 700 references. The authors are internationally renowned experts in the field.
