5.0 out of 5 stars A liberal manifesto for our age.
I have urged my friends who share my vision of a just and prosperous USA to read this book carefully. Gans is essentially writing a manifesto of what should and should not be done, but this book reads more like a novel about three real and interesting people--future presidents of the USA--and not like a lecture on political phiilosophy. Strongly recommended...

1.0 out of 5 stars Great for Utopian Marxists
This would be a great book for Utopian Marxists who HATE HATE HATE GW Bush (and almost all Republicans, except those "Republicans" who hate Republicans) about a future USA ruled by the elite intellectuals (aka no Republicans need apply).
