I got this play set for my 3 1/2 year old son. I think it is great that all of the pieces can fit inside of the fabric igloo, so it is easy to keep everything organized together.
I have never seen another playset based on arctic adventures and I thought this was a neat idea. My son loves putting the little sled on the white dog's tail (the tail is in a hook shape) and using it to "haul" other pieces in the play set.
There is a family in winter gear (adult female, adult male, and baby), a walrus, a seal, a dog and two polar bears.
This is a great toy if you are looking for a quality wooden play set. I think it is neat that it isn't based on any licensed characters, and I love that it is made from sustainably harvested rubber wood.

This is a great toy for imaginative play. The wood pieces are durable and my son likes to give various animal and people toys rides on the sled. It stores nicely in the igloo if and when it ever gets put away.

The set I received in Spring 2009 differs slightly from the description currently posted on Amazon in that it contains only three humans, one sled, and one sled dog, not five humans, two sleds and three dogs. However, it's still a great value for a well-made wooden toy set that's a lot of fun to play with, and a fairly unusual group of figures. From a parent's point of view, it's also nice that everything fits (barely) into the igloo for storage.
