Book Description

July 6, 2006 Imago Series
As the Second Age of Peace draws to an end, the Three Sisters, watchers of the past, present and future foresee the signs that will herald the beginning of great calamities that will spell disaster for mankind and all that is good.

The last hope for peace lies with the Order, an alliance of warriors from the surrounding countries, an Elf and a hapless Wizard. Led by a Prince whose fate is sealed by his past and a boy haunted by a past he cannot escape, they must deliver the Stone of Salvation to unlock the only weapon that can destroy the impending evil.

Pursued by enemy soldiers and four dark emissaries; the harbingers of evil set forth to destroy them, they embark on an incredible adventure. Trapped and outnumbered, an unlikely ally comes to their aid the last surviving warrior, a messenger from a war-ravaged land far to the east. She reluctantly joins forces with the Order, where together, they wage war against a common adversary.

A journey fraught with many dangers, they must also fight their own fears and doubts to keep hope alive. The race is on. Time is running out...

About the Author

Lorna Suzuki currently works in the field of education & media relations. With almost 20 years of experience in martial arts, she is a practitioner and instructor of the warrior art of Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu - a Japanese martial arts system incorporating six traditional samurai schools and three schools of ninjutsu.

An admirer of the writings of Alexander Dumas (Three Musketeers and Count of Monte Cristo fame), it has always been the men who were engaged in high adventures. They were the ones sharing in the camaraderie of a brotherhood, bound by an allegiance to common cause. It was time for a change: In the tales of Imago, the brotherhood is forced to reluctantly accept a female ally into their fold.

Having spent many years in a male-dominated world both in martial arts, law enforcement and in the corporate world, it provided her with insight into the enigmatic Boys' Club. By proving her worth and competence but doing so on her terms, she had gained acceptance into the Club. "I'm one of the fortunate few: a woman accepted into the circle of men without compromising my personal beliefs and without having to behave, act or pretend to be a guy, to fit in and work in the predominantly male arena. Throughout my adult life, I've been fortunate to have a circle of very close male friends."

Lorna was born in New Westminster, BC and has resided on the west coast all her life. With a full-time job and as a mother to a young daughter, Lorna still makes time to write and to teach martial arts with her husband, Scott White, a talented graphic artist / videographer and a licensed instructor (Shidoshi) in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu.

She is often seen on local and national TV and newspapers speaking about wildlife and conservation issues.
