Invaluable for professionals and couples
As a "seasoned" Imago Therapist, I am impressed with how engaging Rick Brown's style is when communicating Imago Theory and application. The book is invaluable for the professional or the lay person who is interested in creating a conscious, connected, committed marriage or relationship which includes safety and passion. Rick offers the Imago Theory in an...

Typo Frustration, May 27, 2002
This review is from: Imago Relationship Therapy: An Introduction to Theory and Practice (Hardcover)
Although I am quite impressed with the Imago method for couples, this book was a disappointment. Much of the text seemed more anecdotal or hypothetical than based on solid research. Worse was that only a "spell check" was used to edit--the frequent typographical errors became very frustrating and distracted me from the author's points. I actually wrote the author (a first), who did reply with a gracious note. Nevertheless, the book is frustrating and a bit disappointing to read, and the price is quite excessive for the product. Perhaps the next edition will be an improvement--the Imago method deserves better packaging.
