Imants Tillers and The Book Of Power, August 2, 2001
This review is from: Imants Tillers and the 'Book of Power' (Hardcover)
Imants Tillers could be cconsidered one of the major expressionist symbolists of the last few decades in Australia, and I well agree with that statement whole-heartedly.
I have not yet purchased this book, but have read it cover to cover, many, many times, and even seen some of the tillers' works in real life.
This book covers Imants' immigration as a child with his family from Europe - (Croatia, I believe?), and goes right up to his latest exibitions. Due to Tillers' almost obsessive-compulsive tendency to catalog each panel chronologically, and as such, there is a perfect record of the number of works he has completed, with illustrations of both alot of them and the processes of creating them...
I don't know wether or not this review is worthy of a voucher, but an artist like me could sure use it!
All I know is that this book rocks.
