Editorial Reviews

From the Artist
"We take our art very seriously, and it's been an evolution," says Kane. "We've built up what we started with by adding more layers to our music. Heavier elements were added as time progressed."

Product Description
On May 3 a new sound will be unveiled to the world, a sound that can only be described as brutal and beautiful. The sound is and is not heavy metal, and therein lies the tantalizing challenge for listeners. The unclassifiable music from Gizmachi’s debut record THE IMBUING (Produced by M.Shawn Crahan (Clown) of Slipknot) is what each individual listener wants it to be. It is a sonic masterpiece that grabs ahold and does not let go. The haunting opening melodies of "The Answer" quickly turn into an assault on your senses that grips you for forty minutes until the glorious anthem "Voice of Sanity" reaches it’s conclusion. This is not music for the faint hearted and not for the thin skinned. It is designed to make you think and it will leave you with as many questions as with answers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Promising debut, July 1, 2005
By Dario M. Zagar "drziggles" (New York, NY United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this CD after seeing the video for the leadoff track "The Answer" and being impressed by their unique sound. The disc doesn't disppoint. Gizmachi manages to be an interesting mix of some of the heaviness and cool percussion of Slipknot (no surprise), the odd time signatures of Meshuggah, with some of the melody of bands like Killswitch. Good stuff--unfortunately I think their retarded moniker has at least something to do with their relative obscurity.

I'm looking forward to seeing them at Ozzfest, even if that means getting there at 9 am...

5.0 out of 5 stars GIZMACHI!, February 21, 2006
i saw these guys at ozzfest 05 and the day after i purchased this album. this is one of the most versatille metal albums i have ever heard. this is one of the most original sounding bands coming out of metal right now. they sound like no one else and man is it good stuff. they are backed w/ one of the most talented metal singers i have ever heard and seen, sean kane and some pretty good guitar players and a talented drummer
the best songs: the answer wandering eyes voice of sanity and burn and bloodwine
im waiting for the follow up to this i hope its good

5.0 out of 5 stars not very popular apparently, June 29, 2005
This is an excellent cd, but i am suprised that no one has heard of them. They are appearing at this years 2005 ozzfest on second stage and with the clown from slipknot as their producer, they dont seem to be getting too much notice. Overall this is a great cd with clear cut screams and memorable tracks. There are only 8 tracks on this debut, but each one is unique and very innovative. I recommend this cd to fans of killswitch, diecast, chimaira or any other hardcore/metalcore band.

4.0 out of 5 stars Totally decent for a new promising band.
I completely disagree with whoever said that they have heard GIZMACHI's sound before. This album is very promising considering that this is this bands first effort. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Very cool
If you like Meshuggah you will love This band, it has a lot of break beats and maybe can use some more clean singing but further more it is cool and kinda fresh sounding.
