Tired of Being Bush-Whacked?,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed (Paperback)
When you read "The Immaculate Deception" subtitled "The Bush Crime Family Exposed", you will have to keep reminding yourself that you are NOT reading about George W. Bush, our current President. But, the information in this book about George H.W. Bush and his father Prescott Bush will make you look at today's "war on terrorism" and relationship with Iraq in an entirely different light, despite the fact that this book was written in the late 1980s--seemingly long before today's post 9/11 conflict(s).You remember George Bush (Sr.) of "Read my lips! No new taxes!" fame. He was the Head of the CIA before he was President of the United States and a member of the Skull & Bones Club at Yale before that. He was also the Director of the U.S. "War on Terrorism" and "War on Drugs" at the same time, the only person to ever hold both jobs simultaneously. This book describes senior George Bush's career and aspirations through the U.S. efforts in 1982-83 to BUILD UP IRAQ by supplying Saddam Hussein with weapons including chemicals needed to manufacture chemical weapons of mass destruction and how Hussein's power has been kept in place by U.S. policies "in order to be a perceived threat to Israel" (p. 92). It also describes George senior's role in the Bay of Pigs, the John F. Kennedy assassination, the Robert F. Kennedy assassination, the Martin Luther King assassination, the Iran hostages trade for weapons "deal", and the near assassination of Ronald Reagan. In short, if you want to understand today's "War on Terrorism" and dealings with Iraq, Israel, the PLO, and Afghanistan, simply "follow the money". You'll find, as this book outlines, that most of it leads to the Bush family, in one form or another.

Godfather George and Real Politiks,

This review is from: The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed (Paperback)
"Give this job to Jr." says Bush the elder invoking images of this waspish, thin-lipped, internationalist operating worldwide yet maintaining a public image of down-homeiness.Russell Bowen more than rips the lid off the public image carefully cultivated by Bush, Inc. exposing the dark side of not just American politics but its international tentacles stretching into every country where American business/government conducts its business with a plethora of American paid for and sponsored dictators. Gore Vidal has written that the American Republic ended in July 1947 with the signing, and creation, of the national security state vis-avis the founding of the CIA. For George Herbert Walker Bush, the national security state always existed. Bowen traces the history of the Bush crime family interweaving the story of the family with the politics of the nation and the high flying deals which enriched the family. Bowen documents not just the Machiavellian work of Bush the elder, but the sins of the sons, Neil, Jeb and Dubya. Admitting to his own work under orders from Bush the elder, he asks the following questions: Where was George? 1. When, during World War II, his shipmates were drowning after the bomber plane Bush was piloting was shot down? 2. When the Bay of Pigs was planned? 3. When John F. Kennedy was assassinated? 4. When presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated? 5. When Martin Luther King was assassinated? 6. When a "deal" was made to hold the Iran hostages until the inauguration of Reagan? 7. When Ronald Reagan was nearly assassinated in Washington by a known Bush family associate? 8. When the truth about this association with Iraq should have been made clear to the American people? I found many parts of this book to be fascinating, I became intrigued with Bowen's revelations of the business dealings between the grandfather of W.S.Farish. According to Bowen, Farish was the inheritor of the Auschwitz deaht camp fortune. In 1980, Bush designated Farish as manager of his vast wealth deposited in a "blind trust." Bush knew he could trust Farish to keep the family secrets as Farish's money was made from the same Nazi enterprise as Bush's father Prescott. According to Bowen, "Farish's grandfather, W.S.Farish, pleaded, "no contest" to charges of criminal conspiracy with the Nazis. As president and chief executive of Standard Oil of New Jersey, Farish was the controller of the global cartel between Standard Oil and the German I.G.Farben concern. The joint enterprise had opened the Auschwitz slave labor amp on June 14, 1940, to produce artificial rubber and gasoline from coal. Jews and other political opponents supplied by Hitler as slaves were worked to death or murdered. Senator Harry S. Truman headed a Senate committee investigating the corporations' collaboration with the Nazis. Farish was brought before the committee to answer questions concerning his company's alliance with the Hitler regime that had begun with his presidency of Jersey Standard in 1933. Before Farish testified, Truman told newsmen, "I think this approaches treason." In an era of literary mediocrity, Bowen has written and published a work documenting the misdeeds and illegalities of a family some consider the Republican Kennedys. Fast forwarding to today, the son, Dubya, is covered with the same crown of thorns befitting Bush the Elder. Bowen proves that information is power so read and consider the information contained in this volume. The Farish affair is but one of a plethora of similar incidents documented in Bowen's book establishing a pattern of treasonous, illegal and immoral conduct by the Bushes using their position as public officials imbued with a public trust for their own benefit.

There is a TON of information packed into these 200 pages. Event after event, lie after lie, flip flop after flip flop, covert actions after covert action, and lie after lie, this book weighs in on Bush's historical record. Is Bush to blame for the escalation of the drug trade? Read this book for some info on the subject. Read how he hid deals and ownerships of companies that he knew violated Mexican laws. How he supported Saddam Hussien, how he partnered with Hussein and Saudi Arabia to keep oil prices high so his family could make more money. How he was involved with the CIA (although he denied it) back in the late 50s and early 60s. What does he know about the Kennedy assassination? He gave a briefy the day after to government officials. He denied being in the Iran-contra loop but he set up the connections for it. He continued to pay Noriega over $100,000 a year while Noriega was stealing U.S. intelligence and running drugs to the United States with CIA cover. What was his role in the delaying of the Iran Hostages release? A national black mark that folks have not heard enough of. He gave Hussein the go-ahead to invade Kuwait and then attacked him. How he had to be ordered by the Supreme Court to stop lobbying the IRS on behalf of drug companies when he was VP. The list goes on and on and on and one. Read this book and have your eyes opened. It will entice you to read more on the sad subject of the life or priveledge and abuse of power. And everyone thought Clinton was the worst, when the facts come out on Bush it would be hard to decide who was the worst.

Unmasking the Bushes,

This review is from: The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed (Paperback)
Russell Bowen's account of the Bush family serves as a roadmap illustrating how contacts coupled with opportunism produced a pattern of corruption which continues as George II rules in a position achieved through vote theft and a hypocritical one vote Supreme Court majority which cut against the grain of state rights cession these justices generally embrace.Bowen was one of the first authors, along with historian John Loftus, to reveal how the Bush economic empire received a major boost in the pre-World War Two period with loans from banker Prescott Bush, grandfather of the current officeholder, to Adolf Hitler. This valuable money enabled the Nazi dictator to gain more pig iron and develop his weapons potential. A former intelligence operative himself, the knowledgeable Bowen traces Bush I's links as CIA Director to drug activity, culminating with his bombing of Panama and the civilian casualties that resulted. Bowen exposes the fraudulent claims of Bush to "get Noriega" after the CIA Director had used the Panamanian dictator as a valuable intelligence source. The claim that George I was a self-made man in the West Texas oil business is also exposed as a sham by Bowen. The public relations myth perpetrated by Bush cronies was that the Ivy Leaguer drove into West Texas in a dusty old jalopy and, through proper application, made a fortune. In reality he flew into West Texas in his father's private jet and used contacts to achieve a fortune. He emerged as a man of privilege from the beginning who used patrimonious affirmative action to gain fame and fortune. He emerges, as humorist Jim Hightower quipped, as "a man who was born on third base and believed he had hit a triple." Bowen displays prescience in dealing with the Bush sons in one perceptive chapter. He links all of them to shady dealings and corporate corruption, notably George II and his swift bailout before the roof fell on Harken Energy Corporation, the oil company he headed. His father, then president, squelched the investigation into Bush II's Harken activities.

If everything this book say about George Bush and his family is true then the thought that United States has two running government - one at the White House in Washington, DC and another one at Wall Street, New York - become a proved reality. Throught its pages, the reader find out that the Bush family have being helped, protected, promoted and placed in strategic political and business jobs by unseeing hands just to carry out the business interests of the American banking and oil industry and the elite families in United States and around the world who own them. Is that possible?

The Immaculate Deception: The Bush Crime Family Exposed,
This review is from: The Immaculate Deception: Bush Crime Family Exposed (Paperback)
This is a documented and well-researched book which details a number of Bush's activities, primarily prior to becoming America's President. Most of this information I have found in other documents written about the Bush family (by journalists and by others). It is fascinating stuff, and difficult to put the book down. However, there are two fatal flaws in Bowen's style. First, there is so much information jammed into the text, that it does not read easily. There are other authors who have written histories so well that they read like novels. I can just imagine how much MORE fascinating this book would have been, had it not been slightly convoluted due to the huge amounts of information. Secondly, while Bowen lists the references at the end of the book, and there are footnotes throughout the book, there is not enough notation for the many sources cited throughout the text. Unfortunately, this failing gives naysayers the justification to ask, "Where's the proof?" The editors of this publishing company should have known that if a statement or meeting or paper has documentation to back it up, then notations must be made. It is a terrible shame that after all the obvious time (probably years) Bowen spent writing this, that due to the lack of notations, this book might not be considered valid...

This is a valuable book for those who want a glimpse of the darker side of government. Though the author focuses on former President George H. W. Bush and his ingenuity in furthering his interests while maintaining a façade of oblivion and good intentions, the reader is ultimately exposed to a larger context where arms dealers, intelligence agents, and high-ranking officials mingle along ill-defined lines. Don't misunderstand; this is not a conspiracy book with random assertions. More accurately, it's a taste of the machinations that are hidden from the ordinary citizen. Interests, of course, don't always coincide, but this is not the point. The lack of ethics conveyed in this book is alarming and sadly deplorable. In this regard, however, Bush seems like the rule rather than the exception. He along with so many others have efficiently played their games before the nation's eyes, often hiding behind the convenient blanket of "national security." At times, the author's narrative contains notable gaps and scanty development, particularly in the early entries, but the later arguments--especially those dealing with Iran-Contra--are better supported. One of his best chapters is on the "October Surprise," for it is thoroughly documented with reputable sources. One wishes he would have been as consistent in all chapters, but if readers are clever enough, they can find corroboration in other books. A bibliography is not provided, but the footnotes are useful for verification purposes. Overall, it's a directly written exposé that should at the very least enrage us, and though the research might occasionally suffer from redundancy and murky conclusions, its central thesis remains painfully substantiated.

The Cosa Nostra has nothing on the Bush family. Author Russell Bowen brilliantly shows what has been going around within the "shrubs" and around them. It is amazing how a family can talk of Christian values and be so underhanded. Bowen doesn't just make charges or inuendo as one would expect from tabloid journalists (as would be supported by the Bush family) but gives credible sources of information. Reading this book I learned much more than I thought I would. Some things that did not make sense before do now. This is a book I would recommend everyone read. Buy one or buy two but read and pass along before the 2004 election. The future of the United States and the world may depend on it. Maybe then the Republican Party will run someone other than Dubya and maybe the election will be fairer next time.
