Best Band I've heard in Years,
This review is from: Immigrant Road Show (MP3 Download)
I stumbled on this band by accident at the 2006 Shamrock Fest and have been smitten ever since. I picked up theit first two albums-- Dance at the Crossroads and Aiden's Orbit and was disappointed at first that they didn't live up tot he live performance. Then came Immigrant Road Show. This album captiure the spirit, personality and the need to dance that a live Scythian show does. If your feet don't move during this album, then I'd check to see if the blood is still flowing.

Scythian's Immigrant Road Show - Rocks!,

This high energy Celtic Rock (and more) Band has appeared in several shows at the Dublin Ohio Irish Festival and brings the crowd to its feet every time. While it's truly hard to capture the excitement of a live show on a studio recorded CD, Scythian's Immigrant Road Show comes darn close. Boyko Dream and Fields of Athenry probably showcase the talents of all the band members best, while Gypsy Fiddle will make you understand the meaning of hearing a fiddle "cry". The talent of these young men is astounding!

Immigrant Road Show by Scythian,

I love this CD, especially the celtic/ethnic songs. I caught Scythian at the Dublin (Ohio) Irish Festival this summer and became an instant fan. They are high energy, appear to love what they do, are fun to watch, get the audience involved, and appeal to all ages.

I discovered this band at the Dayton Celtic Festival, and loved their live performance. Immigrant Road Show definitely captures the spirit of the live show. I previewed the other two albums on Amazon, and am glad I bought Road Show. It gets better & better the more I listen to it. If you get a chance to catch the band's live show - DO IT!

Saw them live at Irish fest in Milwaukee. Went to see gaelic storm and caught scythian for their first set. Wow, the energy was incredible! They sound as good live as on their album (and vice versa). Ended up walking out on Storm because the fun was defiantly on the Scythian stage and not the Storm stage. Of Scythian's albums, this one is the best imo: lots of energy, lots of different sounds. Drum solos are outstanding....the fiddle player is a maniac. I can't say enough good things.

Ready to break out,
This review is from: Immigrant Road Show (Audio CD)
The two brothers are of Ukrainian descent and we saw them in Toronto a few years back at Ukie fest and several times since. They are still pretty much playing the college circuit as you can tell by a couple of their songs but there is a tremendous amount of talent here. This is a great album and look forward to more from them.
