A WARM AND SATISFYING TRIBUTE TO FATS DOMINO, July 10, 1999
This review is from: Immortal Keyboards [VHS] (VHS Tape)
If you remember these legends of Rock and Roll then you'll be satisfied with this video. The stars are young and looking good and the younger musicians shower them with love and affection. The young audience couldn't be happier with the hot music from the all star backup band. All the hits in full, a heap of sentiment but the best thing about it is that that there are no lengthy interviews, flashbacks or speeches to slow the party down. Sixty minutes of smiles, my only complaint is that it's so brief!

A monumental rock n roll moment!!, August 29, 2002
This review is from: Immortal Keyboards [VHS] (VHS Tape)
MONUMENTAL,INDEED!!!! This set will bring a smile to your face,a tune to your lips, and a slide to your stride. Fats Domino is guest of honor, way down in New Orleans, with Jerry Lee Lewis and Ray Charles helping him celebrate,Ronnie Woods, Sugar Blue,Paul Shaffer,Ken Lovelace, and Roy Gaines are on hand too. The show belongs to the three grand piano players on this night however. The guys all do their hits, with lots of energy and obvious delight. The highlight is the jam at the end of the show in which EVERYONE lets it go,all three of the big guns show just why they ARE the big dogs!! This video is a MUST for any rock n roll, blues, jazz,or country music buff, you'll never see the likes of this night again, nothing pretentious, just one heck of a night ,full of AMERICAN ROOTS MUSIC!
