I have been a diehard Charlaine Harris reader and wanted to find some new authors to get into. This is a perfect way to find them. Loved it!!

It seemed as if I was reading just short bits of stories but I was mistaking, this is actually a great collection of many novel segments put together, and I think it is a great way to get exposed to many famous novel writer to understand their writing styles before going ahead and buying their books and spending loads of money for books that you my even not like, although I must say that all the writers included in this collection are absolutely great writers.

To be straight up, I was not too sure if I liked the idea of a book featuring "samples" of other novels rather than short stories like most anthologies. Clearly the price hooked me so I figured 'why not'.

Turns out most of these stories are really good reads. Caden provided nice long segments so you can really get into each one before making a call if it's your thing.

All in all I'd say the idea felt weird at first but I'm happy I scooped it up because I got a really great group of reads for my money.

I'm a total fan of paranormal & vampire fiction so I was happy to finally see a 5 star rating on a collection. Most are WAY under if you've ever noticed). I thought this collection was a totally cool way of getting exposure to a crew of extremely good, edgy new authors. Out of the bunch I like the Underworld/Blade style of writing Thrace brings out for the "Introduction". FYI: If you're looking for a sparkly YA version of vampires this ain't it! Just about everything in here is grown up with a few being "hot" without going too far for my taste. I'd say if you like Black Dagger Brotherhood, Underworld, Blade or even some of the more edgy Anita Blake style stuff just about everything in here will fit. Lots of good novel shorts from lots of great new authors.

If you need a vampire fix bad, this anthology is for you. I devoured this book during my lunch break today. It really made my boring work day more exciting. This is a solid selection of short stories from an excellent group of authors ...of the group the stories by Nathan Squires and L. A. Freed were my favorites. Highly recommended.

Scooped this up because I like the idea of getting a taste of the authors before I buy the whole book. Wasn't sure what to think at first but after reading I really thought this was some quality stuff.
