A new talent just hit the urban fantasy genre, and she has a genuine gift for creating dangerously hilarious drama. (RT Book Reviews on The Accidental Demon Slayer)

Angie Fox has done it again. In the latest adventure featuring the fabulous demon slayer Lizzie Brown, Fox deftly creates complex characters with a gift for gab, weaving multiple storylines together to create side-splitting encounters that are both romantic and suspenseful. (RT Book Reviews on The Last of the Demon Slayers (4 1/2 stars!))

The Accidental Demon Slayer is a delightful new paranormal romance that is hilarious, exciting, suspenseful, dangerous, and an adventure ride of action from start to finish. No one patches up the incoming wounded like Dr. Petra Robichaud. Recruited by the gods for her uncanny medical skills, she's the best M*A*S*H surgeon in the army. But when one sexy immortal ends up on her operating table--half dead and totally to-die-for--Petra's afraid she'll lose her patient and her heart…

NOTHING IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN LOVE

Commander Galen of Delphi is one gorgeous but stubborn demi-god. When his spirit tries to slip out of his fatally wounded body, Dr. Petra has to slip it back in--unwittingly revealing her ability to see ghosts. Now that Galen knows her secret, he's convinced she's part of an ancient prophecy. If the oracles are right, Petra could lead Galen's army to peace. And if he seduces her on the way to hell and back? Heaven knows--all's fair in love and war…

More About the Author

New York Times bestselling author Angie Fox writes fun, action-packed stories. She is best known for her Accidental Demon Slayer series, about a demon slayer who runs off with her grandmother's gang of biker witches. Angie is also catching a lot of buzz for her new Southern Ghost Hunter mystery series. The first book is called Southern Spirits.

While Angie's characters may be clever and fearless, in real life, Angie is afraid of basements, bees, going up stairs when it's all dark behind her, and (her friends have way too much fun with this one) puppets.

Angie lives in St. Louis, with her football-addicted husband, two kids, and Moxie the dog.

As the gods rage, the rest of the world falls. Unwilling drafted into the war between the old and new gods, Dr. Petra Robichaud works in a MASH unit, patching up wounded immortal soldiers and sending them on their way. Her latest patient is different than the rest as he sparks something in her long cold heart as she scrambles to save him, and accidentally reveals her ability to see ghosts, an instant death sentence. To protect herself, she tries to stay as far away from him as possible, but that proves difficult once he decides she is the one in the ancient prophecy who is supposed to stop the war. Galen would move heaven and earth for peace, and his method of persuasion is seduction, the one tactic Petra seems helpless to ignore.

I absolutely loved the setting for this book. It reminded me of the MASH tv shows that I watched growing up, only with a supernatural twist. Not only was the setting in a war triage unit, but there also was a great deal of humor just like the old episodes, making it a very enjoyable read. The paranormal elements only stepped my enjoyment up an even higher notch. There was a plethora of supernatural characters blended in with Greek Mythology, making for a very rich world. I particularly loved the dynamic between Petra's bunk mates, the werewolf and the vampire as their interactions were hilarious to say the least. Add that in with the constant prank attempts and the very nosy nature of the entire MASH staff and the crazy, but fun hilarity of it all kept me very entertained.

Petra and Galen made for an interesting couple to say the least. There were so many obstacles in their path, and yet something about them seemed to just perfectly fit from the very start, even though it took a while for any real "magic" to happen.

The war between the immortals is raging out of control, in the balance hangs the lives of all the mortals on earth most of them never knowing what's happening on the front lines in Limbo. One ray of hope is the prophecy that's predicted to turn the tide. A healer is predicted to sound the charge and change the outcome. Dr. Petra Robichaud meets those predictions but she's been burned before and is not in a believing frame of mind anymore until a certain Demi-God turns up on her operating table and not only makes her think the prophecy has a chance but also effects her in a visceral way that hasn't happened in many years. Galen of Delphi is an immortal warrior who believes wholeheartedly in the prophecy especially when the sexy doctor saves his life, touches his soul and takes his heart. Galen knows she's the missing piece of the prophecy puzzle but convincing her will be the hardest battle he's ever fought. Will Petra and Galen fulfill the prophecy and save all the mortal and immortal souls or will they burn in the fires of Hades.

I have enjoyed Angie Fox's Demonslayer series and when I opened the pages of her debut novel in her new series I thought I'd find something similar, I was right and wrong. I found the comedy relief that the first series provided but I also found a darker tale a story that held a more serious feel. She introduced me to many new characters and did a great job of building not only them but her new and dark world as well and makes me wonder where she goes from here. Her dialogue is what you might find on any battlefield, a take no prisoners speak that fits her story and characters well. Her romance between Galen and Petra have obstacles that seem impossible to overcome and their love scenes burn like the vents of Hades featured in her novel.

I loved this series. I bought this first book of the series a long time ago but I'm one of these people that buys books that is get read but later. This was one of them. I love Angie Fox's books so I have NO idea why I waited. I'm not a Mythology reader in general but Angie is a great story teller. I liked the characters in the book, actually I just liked the books. All three of them. The only thing bad I can think to say is there should have been more than three.

I would and have told people to try this series.

Once they ran all my underwear up the flagpole. But I want you to understand it's an honor to serve with these men." - Hot Lips from MASH

Who can forget the outrageous humor from MASH? Angie Fox injects that humor into an urban fantasy world with an over-the-top frontline medical team who would inspire Hawkeye to transfer to their unit. Add one demi god soldier who rattles Dr. Petra Robichaud. Soak in passion, suture with prophecy, and prescribe seduction for a roller coast ride that rivals the still in the Swamp.

I applaud Fox for borrowing elements from an iconic TV series to create a unique paranormal world that truly entertained me. I infrequently read paranormal but I would return to Monster MASH again and again for this guilty pleasure. Don't deny yourself - join the fun with IMMORTALLY YOURS, stat!

Two factions of warring Gods are drafting half humans from Earth. Dr. Petra Robichaud has been caught up in the frenzy, and now finds herself in the `flat wastelands of limbo'. Where the powdered eggs and dehydrated bacon are just like mom use to make. Not really. Despite being unwillingly drafted, Petra is dedicated to her work and her MASH unit, patching up the wounded so they can fight another day. But Dr. Robichaud has a secret. She can see the dead. An age old prophecy predicts a person with such gifts can end the war. So naturally the Gods have imposed a death sentence on any person with the power to communicate with spirits. Petra knows she can never reveal her secret upon pain of eternal torment and/or death. She knows just how creative those Greek Gods can get with punishment. But when the mouthwatering demi-god Galen of Delphi enters her ER tent dying, she will risk everything to save him.

Galen is now convinced that Petra is the center of a prophecy that will end the war. After a comedy of errors trying to dump her patient, and despite severe reservations, Petra allows Galen to convince her that she may really be the key to ending this war. Galen's unshakeable faith and smoking hot body may be Petra's undoing, but it's so worth the risk.

Typically when I read a book that is set in another world or dimension, I still see earth in my head because the imagery just isn't there, or it's not detailed enough. Not so with this book. I could see, smell, hear, touch, and taste all of the aspects of the Limbo Angie Fox created. From the smell of the tar swamp behind the barracks to the taste of the red dirt at the back of my throat. The world building that was done in this book is off the charts.
