That being said, so far, no sore knee clicking while on this roll stepper.

The manual suggests to put a towel/mat under it if you plan on using it on a hard wood floor.

You will sweat but, you'll start in one end of the room and end on the other side.

excellent for the price and space saving quality. Good overall product. If you want a small piece of equipment that will do the trick without taking space or money this is it!

I don't remember which website I bought the Rock n Roll Stepper from, but it was only twenty.

-I have a housemate and a landlady that complain about even the tiniest of things. Their biggest gripe at the moment is how noisy I am when exercising on this machine. I didn't notice the noise at first because I had earbuds in, but I tried a few intervals without them... it was horrible. I've applied WD40 to all the joints and hinges, but the squeaking and screeching continues. Even with my door shut and my portable fan on the sound from the stepper reaches their ears. My only remaining options are to use this when I'm somehow home alone or wait until I am able to move.

-I have short, hard carpet and I don't move anywhere when using the stepper. The manual suggests to put a towel/mat under it if you plan on using it on a hard wood floor.

-The footing spaces have a bunch of raised grips, making shoes essential. I prefer to workout barefoot when given the option, but it's too painful to use the stepper barefoot.

-I have not watched the included DVDs, therefore I cannot write about them.

-The LCD screen was extremely hard to push into place and I never paid attention to it after installing it.

Does using the stepper "work"? Anything that increases your physical movement, raises your heart rate, and/or gets you sweating more than normal is going to work to a degree. I would've benefited more from using the stepper if I wasn't always being interrupted due to it being too noisy for my housemates' tastes.

i'd wanted a rock n' roll stepper for some time and couldn't find one for sale and i can guess why, people are scammers and probably tried to sue for reward; however, they don't know what's good: this little exerciser is wonderful. the first day, i rode it longer than the directions advised. my legs involuntarily contracted at night when i lay down. you know what to do then, you warm your legs and stand on them, the spasms subside. my muscles from the ankles to the shoulders have more exercise already, my dislocating knee seems tighter and i have an overall feeling of improved health. i have been over-tired for a few days and i don't doubt that at my age of 66, some of these muscles haven't exercised since i had to stop snow skiimg 40 years ago after a judo accident. my paragraph here should be read positive; to me the rock n' roll stepper is a great exerciser and when used with a gazelle, mini-tramp, bench and military presses and dumbells for the arms this is a wonderful invention! this exerciser comes with important directions you should not fail to read before stepping.

It does work, you do feel a great workout.
You will sweat but, you'll start in one end
of the room and end on the other side. I really hate
that about it. I wanted it so I could watch
T.V. and work out, but I have to constantly
keep repositioning it. I even put 25 lb weights
on each side and I still kept moving. I wish he
would come out with something to stop it from moving
across the room.

this is perfect for my tiny apartment and definitely does it's job. My one year old likes to sit on one side and get rides too :0)
