The Impact Ball helps golfers develop a feel for swinging the club in a correct manner.  Once this muscle memory is developed, your stroke becomes natural and ball striking improves drastically.

I took a golf leeson and this tool ( ball ) was used. I purchased one for myself and it has helped me learn to keep my arms/swing in postion. It has not worked any miracles but my game has improved, particularly my short game.

I had a serious problem of getting my right arm stuck behind on my chest on the downswing. I was introduced to this item during a lesson, which made it so I had to create some serious width in my swing. I purchased one after the lesson and and it really helped me to strike the ball a lot more consistently.

The only downside, it is tough to position with out help, and if you didn't have a one on one lesson showing you how to use it, there is no literature or photos explaining how to use it or the benefits of using correctly. You can find this on youtube fairly easily, but still something I would expect to be included with the purchase.

THere is not instructions on what or how to use it. No drills giving. It is hard to use by yourself. I looked up drills on Youtube.

Probably could just get a nerf ball and make your own.

This golf training aid was strongly recommended by the pro, Steve, from whom I take lessons. My big problem was a flying right elbow causing severe inconsistency. Steve made me swing with the impact ball. Using it correctly required some real effort. I called it the torture ball, and every time in the lesson I let my elbow fly out of control, Steve made me swing with it again 5-10 times. Really gives you the feel, and the effort is sufficient that I did everything I could not to be forced to swing with it too many times!

The proof is in the pudding. I hadn't broken 90 in two months. After having bought the impact ball for myself and using it for a bit in the backyard each evening to lock in my lesson, I have 6 rounds in the low 80s. Much more consistent ball striking. Got my draw back after a period of slices or hooks.

Highly recommended training aid if you have the flying elbow problem.
