I liked the goal net. It did exactly what I wanted it to do. It was not however what it was designed to do. I bought the net to put hay in. I feed my horse by putting the hay in the net to slow down the consumption of the hay. It is better for the horse's digestion to eat slower and better for his mental health as it keeps him occupied at what he loves to do,(eat). The net is durable and does not disintegrate so there is very little risk of choking on a piece of net. It also keeps him from picking up so much sand when he eats. Sand colic is a very real danger. Thanks for the opportunity to review this product. It is a good cheap alternative to the nets sold to slow hay consumption.

Hockey nets for slow feeding,

I bought these hockey nets to slow feed my two horses. I made the nets into a purse using plastic rope and a short piece of PVC pipe, and attach them to the bottom of metal stock tanks that I previously used for feeding loose hay. I now have horses that aren't panic stricken if they're not fed RIGHT NOW and I sometimes have to call them up for feeding, which never happened when giving them loose hay. I no longer have hay that's under foot, soiled, and wasted. Hurray for hockey nets!
