Book Description

August 19, 2004

On the crowded bus trip home, Austin is pushed into a man. Instead of trying to move away, he pulls her to him. Austin is shocked at first, but then lets fate take her by the hand. An anonymous adventure on a crowded bus might be a safe way to break out of the dull life she is living.

Tyler Birch spent years waiting for Austin to give some indication she would welcome getting to know him better, but time is up. He decided Monday to stop being passive. That afternoon he finds himself pressed against her on the crowded bus trip home. Not one to turn down an opportunity when he's presented with one, Tyler accepts the chance to mount a two-pronged plan of attack. One as the anonymous stranger who can set Austin on fire with his touch, and the other as Tyler Birch who can touch her soul.

About the Author

Prior to writing her first fiction only a few years ago, Dee S. Knight lived a varied lifestyle. After college she married her high school sweetheart and they became house parents at a home for wards of the court. Thus, she went from newlywed to “mother” of a dozen teenaged boys, in a month. Two years of living in one city proved to be enough, and she and her husband spent the next eight years as long-distance truckers. Swiftly following their trucking years, she became a computer consultant, high school and adult education teacher, technical writer and novelist. Thirty-two years later, she’s still married to her own hero and finds life infinitely interesting. They currently reside in the Midwest. 2004 and 2005 have been very good years for Dee’s writing. In 2004, her manuscript, Burning Bridges, won honorary mention in the Maggie contest and her book, Passionate Destiny, was a Top Pick in Romantic Times BOOKclub. In 2005, her romantic suspense manuscript, Cyber-Kill, won the Maggie in the single title category and the Dixie Kane Memorial contest. She is honored and grateful to continue receiving fine reviews and praise for her erotic romance books. Learn more about Dee and her books at www.deesknight.com

4.0 out of 5 stars I like it,but.., April 24, 2006

well,it started on very nicely and promising, but to tell the truth I didn't like Austin's reaction to Alonso's real Identity.

how come she didn't suspect it was him all the time, when she can always feel his nearness?anyway,I thought that she acted very badly with Tyler, and he was very sweet and understanding.. may be I was expecting better, that's why I was a bit disappointed with this story, but it's a nice read, not very erotic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Loved it and hated it!, July 29, 2007
This review is from: Impatient Passion (Paperback)
I found the erotic scenes in this book unbelieveably hot, and the first half of the book amazed and astounded me. I couldn't wait to read the rest and buy dozens more books from this author. However, I was severely dissapointed with the rest of the book from the point of when Austen discovers who her mystery man was. She has everything with him, a great sex life, a partner who loves and cherishes her, and will do anything to be with her, and a man who is very attractive and successful. Suddenly her two dream men have become one. Why would she run away from him?! I can understand a chapter or two of confusion, feelings of betrayal, fear, shame, etc, but why over extend the agony for countless chapters?

I was tortured with conflict feelings of loving the book and being angry and saddened by the change of events.
I found the many scenes in which Tyler pours his heart out to her Austen she says she doesn't love him heartbreaking and I must admit I cried through the entire second half of the book. Ok, so call me sentimental, but I almost felt the author forced illogical conflict into the book for drama. She is a very talented writer(obviously, if she had such an impact on me and kept me hooked), the characters very believable, and the sex scenes very hot and romantic, but I found it difficult to close the book happy with the happy ending after the extensive pain and anguish which Tyler went through. Anyone else feel similarly?
Synopsis: Read with caution, not reccommended for the highly sensitive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, June 1, 2007
This review is from: Impatient Passion (Paperback)
This book is a page turner, as Austin embarks on a journey toward personal goals of breaking out of her lackluster, depressed love life and her stagnant professional life. I couldn't put the book down following the twists and turns of Austin's lessons in sex--and eventually in love. Not to mention her advancing professional life. The anonymous sex with a mysterious stranger on a public bus and then in isolated locations is a definite plus.
