This refers to the latest reprint of the 1907/1931 gazeetteer atlas of India. The maps are by British governed province including all princely states that are part of that region. The maps are of undivided India at a time when the McMahon line had not been drawn yet (in 1907, it had been in 1931 but does not show). There are several smaller maps showing historical evolution of conquests in the Indian subcontinent as well as the then existing distribution of religions, races, languages, etc. and a wealth of economic information. Also includes roadways, railways etc. Really very useful if only to understand pre-Independence India well. (...)
