this game is by far the best computer game ive ever played. its just the right balance between economics, diplomacy, and war. other games old and new are heavy in one or two of those ereas and light on the third, this game hits on all cylinders. i wouldnt change a thing except make it compatable with xp.

If you have a station that either has Win 95 or Win 98, it would be a cinch not to purchase this amazing block buster; an all time favorite and a game that once occupied the HALL OF FAME of Computer Gaming World, a very coveted condition indeed. Imperialism made me loose countless days ... and nights of engrossing gaming. It may take a while to learn the game inside out, but the depth, the gameplay and its virtual infinite replayability make it worth its $10.00. There are a few glitches in the games, some fixed by the 1.1 patch, some that will never be fixed at all. But it is an extraordinary game deserves its place among an all time STRATEGY games favorite.

...this is probably one of the best computer games ever written. I only wish that somebody would update this thing so that I could play it on the newer systems. Isn't there somebody out there willing to do this?

This is the most intelligent strategy game ever. It is better than Imperialism II.

Simply brilliant. I only wish that there is an updated version for this 15 year old game.
