5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful document of a brilliant comic..., August 28, 2007

It's tough to top Paul F. Tompkins. Dave Foley once told me that Tompkins is the funniest man in the world, and I'd hate to disagree on that point. If you can't find the CD here, check out aspecialthing dot com, the home of the label it's on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Insanely Good, October 31, 2009
This is by far the most re-listenable comedy album I have ever heard. Not only is it hysterically funny, it's actually fun to listen to. Some comics' albums, although very funny, are sometimes hard to listen to more than a couple of times because of excessive anger, hostility, and generally vitriolic performances. They are hilarious, but aren't all that enjoyable. Tomkins is a riot without spilling bile on everything he sees, and he really seems to like what he's doing.

Also, one interesting aspect of this album was that I could have my mother and younger relatives listen to it, because it's pretty much entirely "clean." I have no idea why it's labeled "explicit." Explicit it ain't. Now, I am not easily offended, and I normally don't care if comedy is clean or not, but it's exciting to come across great stand-up that's teriffic because the comic is so spot-on about what is truly funny, and has no need to scream, swear, or obsess about his d*** to enhance the goods.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everyone should own this CD., February 1, 2010

So here I am, sitting at work listening to this album for (probably) the 50th time. Potato Famine comes on, and I actually spit coffee all over my keyboard. How can he be that funny, EVERY TIME YOU LISTEN TO HIM? Inconceivable.
