This is not helpful book,

This review is from: Implementing SOA Using Java EE (Paperback)
The book made me very disappointment because it only has some summary of Java technologies, does not have useful information about how to implementing SOA using Java EE. It also has some repeating text, and unnecessary RPC history descriptuions. Some text of the book is almost same as Java documents, and looks like the dictionary of Java technologies, there is no useful information. Do not spend your money and time on this book if you need to know how to implement SOA using Java EE.

This book is a good, but VERY BRIEF summary of SOA and surrounding topics. The price tag on this book had me thinking this might be a solid book for implementing SOA using J2EE. The table of contents looks great, but each section is so brief it is quickly a disappointment. Spend your dollars elsewhere.

Just a summary of Java EE,
This review is from: Implementing SOA Using Java EE (Paperback)
As other reviewers have pointed out, the title of the book is very deceptive. Nice work, Marketing! This book is certainly NOT about implementing SOA using Java EE. Anybody interested in that particular topic, please look elsewhere.
The one area that this book shines though is in being a brief and mostly accurate summary of Java EE. If you are feeling a bit rusty about Java EE and want to get to speed quickly, this book can be a nice afternoon read. I am giving the book 2 stars for the nice and quick summary of Java EE.
