This is the third book I've read by Betty Jo Schuler, and I think it is my least favorite. The plot seemed too far-fetched, and the characters didn't seem as real as in her others. In fact the whole novel seemed rather superficial.
There were several errors. It was hard to follow the dialogue, since speakers would change without a new paragraph. There would also be additional spacing between the same speaker's dialogue, so it looked like there was a different speaker at first. In fact, there was often a lot of extra spacing between paragraphs, which was a waste of space. There were run-on sentences and compound sentences without commas. "Know" was used for "now," and, with flashbulb photography and roll down windows in the car, I'm assuming this is an older book. There were also a few pre-marital sex scenes.
The plot and the characters in this one seemed a bit artificial. Still, if you'd like a light, non-serious romance, I did find the novel somewhat entertaining.
